Seeing characters like Captain Antilles being made before Lando makes me actually sad.
I want a Lando for years. A Premium Bespin Lando to go with my Studio Scale Cloud Car (I think a background with the Cloud City McQuarrie painting, the orange Cloud Car and the blue outfitted Lando MUST rock as a display).

And of course the 12"ers Bespin Lando to go with ESB Han and Luke. Skiff Guard to go with my Jabba's Palace display and finally a General Lando who (not to forget) destroyed the death star 2 in the battle which is one of my most beloved scenes in the SW movies.

All who say it would be a pegwarmer or have black and white issues can go to hell

Hell is where Sideshow will be. The hell of 2nd Chance and Giftcard Status of yet another rotting Star Wars 12" if they think 3000 people will actually buy Gigallo Lando (Bespin). It has nothing to do with his skin color and everything to do with the overall lack of appeal. I'd buy one and clearly you would (no doubt you probably sleep with a bottle of Colt .45 signed by Billy Dee himself ), but that doesn't mean that 3000 people will. That's just reality.

K, let's get real.

Antilles works for the choke scene. It's brief, but entirely memorable to just about any Star Wars fan, and nostalgically, our first intro into the literal awesomeness of Vader.

"random" Troopers just have a coolness factor to them (pssst...I think it's the armor). They always have and always will.

Asajj....she's (almost) a Sith, with lightsabers AND tits! Who didn't like her? She's sold out!

Endor Soldiers.....still all up on 2nd Chance now, aren't they? and Giftcard status too? ... perhaps they're just warming up Lando's spot for him.

Lando Calrissian is a main character in the original trilogy, has always been a popular second to lead guy, clearly moreso than supporting characters such as the droids, Windu, Panaka, Mundi, etc. Lando would sell out, I guarentee it.

Fleeting and few, but the most memorable. Did Lando have a memorable scene in TESB? Not really and anybody could've been in that cockpit in ROTJ.

But you're missing the point. He hasn't been a popular figure. In ANY of his many incarnations. I don't know why. I bought him (both the Gigallo and Skiff Guard disguise), and had friends who did too, but nevertheless, I vividly recall TESB and ROTJ cards warming pegs growing up. Then, with the POTF line, same deal. His 12" figure as well. I remember seeing shelves of him, literally, discounted to $5.99.

As for the droids, 10 lashes with a wet noodle. Shame on you for saying that! . Star Wars would've been Star Wars without Lando, but without the Droids, no.

Lando was a great character in ESB, and then we never really needed to see him again. But we were forced to. And in ROTJ because he knew Leia, even though he had betrayed them in movie-time just a few months before, he's suddenly made a friggin GENERAL? WTF??? A General? Really??? Like he wasn't sleeping with her? C'MON!

There's Wedge in the background, he helped blow up the Death Star and he's still an Ensign or something, and you know he HATES the guy. There's a deleted scene where Wedge's drinking water from the water cooler talking about Seinfeld with one of the other peons in the background when GENERAL Lando walks by and tells him the bathroon meeds more TP and to "get on it", and Wedge crushes his cup in fury and water sprays everywhere. Lando is a douche.

Why aren't we talking about why we haven't gotten a 1:6 Ithorian (Hammerhead) yet instead? BECAUSE WE NEVER WILL AS LONG AS SIDESHOW IS MAKING MAKING SW 1:6!
And you're talking about Lando! Phew!

Poo on that. Besides, since when was People Magazine an authority on anything other than Hollywood gossip?

Chewie is a much more important character than Lando. Even the droids are. He's a secondary character. For crying out loud, he doesn't appear until the 3rd Act of the second to last film and is barely in the next one.

See if he shelf warms THEN! I never understood why he warmed the pegs, as i bought all the Lando figures over the years. I was ECSTATIC when Hasbro made the figure of him from the end of Empire last year! Maybe I'm in the minority, but yes, to me Lando is part of the 'Fab Four'.

And as much as I LOVE that above PEOPLE cover pic, they left out Chewie and the DROIDS, just like SS is doing!

So I guess they are the.....Super Seven??

While Lando might not be a *main* character, he's still not quite relegated to secondary either. He plays an important role in ESB and ROTJ and kicks major ass.

I would definitely buy a ESB Lando, and probably a Skiff disguise as well. Probably not general as I really don't get excited about the look. Lando would sell well, I think he'd do as well as previous releases
