well, l would not want a PF of dumb blond women from playboy. maybe some random chick made into a PF form, but no dumb playboy bunnies.

The problem with this idea is very few sculptors could actually pull this off. Realistic female anatomy is tricky and female portraits even more so. There were some 18 inch dolls put out some years ago of Playboy models that were not that great. Statues would be the way to go, if someone did it. The premium format would be a wise choice as the figure could be displayed with or without the clothing. There was a statue released a few years ago of the porn star Seka that was done this way. Statue was nicely done and pretty limited. The fact that no new statues ever came out may speak to the lack of market potential?

Zero interest... and I imagine the adult nature of these would be why Sideshow (even though they do like sculpting T&A) would never approach a license like this.

Also, Playboy models really don't fit w/in Sideshow's scope. I'd say the closest thing would be historical figures and I think Vlad the Impaler has a bit more historical clout than one of the "Girls Next Door" :lol

Id like to see classic pin-up style pieces. But I doubt Id buy them.

Hell they already distribute the Mandy products among other pin-up styled pieces.
Most female Marvel characters are basically nude already with the bits sanded off and color painted on rather than a skin-tone.

if they would sell, Id say why not? But I doubt theyd sell.

Another company tried doing 1/5 scale dolls not too long ago.

I'd buy a classic Playboy Marilyn Monroe and a Playboy Bunny girl like in the picture below.

As long as they are not totally nude my girlfriend doesn't mind. She tolerates the BQ & Emma Frost comiquettes, somthing like this won't bother her. :D

No, if it wasn't based on a character (Marvel, DC, etc.) or celebrity (Betty Page, Marilyn Monroe, etc) I would think the guy is totally weird or perverted for having a half naked premium format statue. lol

Just my opinion though! ;)

Those bunnies are rockin' some serious ________s. (toe of a mammal most commonly found in the desert)

Edit: I can't believe that word got edited :lol

Well, I would think people buy those "sexy" Marvel PFs not only because of how they look, but because of their character. I'm not sure playboy playmates have much character to be desirable as a collectible.

You do know there already are 1/4 Playboy figures out there that you can pick up. Karen McDougal, Victoria Silvstedt, Marilyn Monroe and there's one other (her name slips my mind right now..)

What DD said. They closed them out for around fifteen dollars each four or five years ago. I believe they did four PMOY's of which I picked up a couple, and Ms. Monroe was advertised, although I've never seen that one. The Playmates were supposed to be full body scans that the 17" figures were modeled from. They were okay as bar furniture. You see them on eBay every now and again.
Betty Page and Marylin Monroe statues, dolls and action figures have been marketed. They probably did a little better since they had broader cultural appeal, but I don't know that for a fact.
A 12" figure of Jenna Jameson the adult film actress was pre-offered through Diamond Direct Adult a couple of years ago. I don't think it was ever made. Some adult actress 8" figures were made a few years ago and the were closed out for a couple of bucks a piece from different outlets. Doesn't seem to be much interest in this type of collectible.
