This has to be one of the biggest mysteries with regards to unreleased prototypes. I can kind of understand why they haven't released all the Solo trooper prototypes, and to a lesser extent the Rogue One Tank Trooper (as much as most of us crave that), but this guy is one of the most important troopers from the original trilogy. He'd sell, there's no doubt about it. Hand on heart I believe they will still release this, along with other important missing OT troopers (i.e. Rebel Fleet Trooper, TIE Fighter Pilot, AT-AT Driver, Scout Trooper). I think they'll go trooper crazy between Episode IX and the next trilogy.

To be honest I'm surprised they haven't done the already. Unless they had some sort of agreement with SS that they don't touch the ones SS did. Which was what ? Scout trooper, AT-AT driver, Tie Fighter Pilot. Still no excuse for the DS trooper though I know.

That sucks if true. How recently did SS make those guys? I’ve resisted the TF Pilot and the AT-AT Driver a couple of times hoping that HT would make them. Then again there wasn’t too long between Sideshow’s Endor Luke and Hot Toys’ version.

It's been quite a while. I have the Tie Fighter pilot. He's not bad I think. I'm sure there will be some who can point out what's wrong with it as far as screen acuracy, but I'm not so concerned about that. He looks good to me. Same with the Scout Trooper. The base is actually pretty cool on that one.

That means that collectors already have very good versions of these and might not want to spend $250 on a minor upgrade. So maybe it’s just better business focusing on characters that the customers don’t have good versions of already. I know that I, for instance, by most OT figures releasing, but probably wont feel the need to upgrade those.

Haha yep, you got me with that one. Saw Gerrera without a shadow of a doubt. I’d happily pay up to £300 for a Saw.

Hmmm... I might have to track these down if they can still be had at a reasonable price. I’ve never tried a Sideshow figure before.

I pick Bodhi, even if just so we could round out our Rogue One crew roster (assuming Baze comes out as well). With that said, I didn't really care for either character; Bodhi was an interesting idea, but just badly written and developed, whereas Saw was fascinating in theory, but as with most of Whittaker's recent characters, let down by his unusual choice of affectation.

What really sucks is something like the Tusken Raider who is no longer available on SS. I saw one go for over €350 recently ! That is crazy for a tru-type body wrapped in some fabric if you ask me.

Yep. Problem is his costume is pretty complex. So chances are pretty low. Always a chance that he's in the Cassian show though....

The design of Saw is pretty cool but his character was pretty bad. Any debate is irrelevant anyway because this figure has zero shot at being made by Hot Toys.

It was a damn Christmas miracle that we are getting Krennic.
