BTW, does this mean the new development on their headsculpts is a flip up visor? Not sure how ground breaking that is Still, love the way he looks and it is getting harder for me not to want to buy this sucker...

Well, considering that no other company has been able to do a character wearing a (with headsculpt inside) helmet and have it look right I think it's cool. Most times the helmet would be one piece and there would be a separate helmet-less head sculpt.

Would it be weird to just have a Mark I and Mark III... kind of a bookends sort of deal?

I hardly think its weird. I have both II and III pre-ordered, but I'll likely cancel the II and replace it with the MK I. The MK II armor was little more than a hiccup in the storyline anyway. It's the first and last models that have the most impact.

I appreciated the solidarity... I kinda feel the same way. The Mark II, while cool, just doesn't blow me away like the other two.

Yeah, but it's not like its a tight fitting visor... just kind sits on the head. And I think Medicom did a good job with their Vader figures, even if the reveal headsculpts were a tad undersized.

He only looks chubby because the undersuit is almost flesh colored.

MkIII actually, which is the be all and end all Iron Man. Thus it might be considered unusual to prefer the MkI, hence my comment.

Someone should put together a side-by-side with the actual suit and the figure. Do hope they black out the eyes on the mask... looks odd seeing his eyes underneath the mask.

One thing you have to remember is the pics were taken in a studio with heavy lighting. In reality under natural lighting with the mask over the face you won't be able to see the eyes so clearly. It won't be blackened out but it'll be heavily shadowed.
