hot toys are going all out on there new lines, and i keep saying i will just get the mark 3 but this looks better.

I wouldn't be at all surprised that Sideshow imports this for US collectors. Thanks for the higher resolution pictures. I love that it looks like a fabric suit covered in plastic armor. When I saw Iron Man for the first time at the midnight show, I told my buddy that I hoped that Hot Toys would get the license. I am so glad that they listened!!!

OK I'll preorder this, considering it won't be out till 09. Having Marks II and III but not having this would just bug me, just like having Hudson, Drake and Ripley makes me annoyed that I don't have Hicks, Apone and Vasquez.

I wonder what the chances of an Ironmonger??...I haven't seen the film for ages but it was much bigger than Ed209 right?? If thats the case I'd guess that this could be one of the biggest pieces they have produced in 1/6 scale...
I'm just thinking that it might be too big and certainly too expensive...

Got the Mark III pre-ordered. It'll all depend on how well I avoid the temptation of Mark II, because if I get that, the completest in me will kick in

I have not seen the movie in awhile but did the m1 have any lights incorparated with it?

I believe the MI has a light up chest plate, similar to the other Iron Man suits. Tony has his super-duper heart magnet thingy in place, and it helps power the armor. Can't wait to see it again on DVD!

That's probably the only flaw in the whole film, there may have been others. The Mark 1 is at the time when he needed the car battery to power his heart magnet. He did well to conceal it in the armour, and upon landing, stagger around the desert without it.

Great pics! If anything I'd liuke to see HT make Starks head look less squished in the helmet. I think the head sculpt is a bit too big for the body.

just confirmed my order for mark II after alot of thinking. I loved this movie !
I don't care !. I find it hard to buy anything from movies that are released nowadays because that much crap is brought out its hard to belive you like anything no matter how awesome it is.
This years certainly been a special one though ( especially on the superhero front ).

BTW, does this mean the new development on their headsculpts is a flip up visor? Not sure how ground breaking that is Still, love the way he looks and it is getting harder for me not to want to buy this sucker.

Would it be weird to just have a Mark I and Mark III... kind of a bookends sort of deal? So hard to be able to buy and display all the things I want
