Yup yup! Day two and still nadda.

Being this isn't a Sideshow ran forum, maybe no one knows the answer here. Did you call Sideshow and ask their customer service? I'm interested to also find out.

Not yet. I'll give SS a chance to respond on the forum first (seeing as how they've done this in the past for a similar subject).

Given the over-reaction to Fett, I could understand if they make no comment either way.

Guess that means we just have to wait until the PF Maul ships, and one of us drops him by accident... If he breaks, it was polystone, if he bounces, it's safe to presume they used plastic. :D

If Maul turns out to be plastic I will cancel him for sure. If the whole line moves to plastic, I will be VERY disappointed and would only buy a VERY select few that were put out moving forward.

I'm not just affraid for this line, but for LOTR and Marvel as well.

eeek, hopefully the long delay in a LOTR PF announcement hasn't been due to research in switching over to plastic and then actually making a proto piece in plastic.....ugh, now you have me worried.

Not to start the debate again, but if it's made of plastic (god forbid), then they better be much cheaper!

Exactly. I don't plan to pay $300+ for a line of plastic "statues".

I think Sideshow is not going to answer this question guys because it is way too early in development. They probably don't want to say one thing and then have to change their statement later on. Patience is the key here, besides I am pretty confident that after the whole Boba ordeal that Maul will be polystone.

As much as I hate to say it I think it's as easy as "We have changed to plastic" or "We have not changed to plastic" with a few exceptions like Fett.

If they want to change the material to a cheaper form of plastic, I'm all for it. But they sure as hell better pass on the savings to us. I mean, I have a Maul PF on order for under $240. I could care less what kind of plastic he's made of, as long as he looks the same as the other PFs.

Yeah, sure. You mean like they did this time?

Sorry, but that was way too easy.

*sighs, annoyed* Haven't you been paying attention? We're getting reduced shipping!

I know. But I think they had full intentions to use polystone with Fett but were concerned with breakage so then changed it. I have no problem with that, although it would've been nice to tell us when they actually knew, not when he was getting ready to ship.

With no mention of polystone in Maul's description, it seems they know what they are going to use, but don't want to tell us. I mean, he's just another humanoid character with no armor or anything like that.

For the record, I don't have a problem with the use of ABS in the Fett PF, either. It was simply the timing (as you pointed out), that they did so on the Production Blog, and the fact that they apparently never even considered adjusting the cost to the consumers.

I cancelled mine for those reasons, not because of the ABS itself. And I have no regrets. Because I'll be able to get one on the secondary market for closer to $200 or less at some point.

If I was so 'obsessed' with Poly over any other material I wouldn't be collecting this line to be honest - the jury is still out for me about the use of real clothes etc. I can see where everyone is coming from re if it's cheaper to make then this should be passed on in the form of a lower price but after I put something on display I seldom pick it up again as I am just interested in the look of it not the weight etc.

Well, then that is all they have to say; yet, they still have not responded to the question asked. Very disappointing.
