The question is can there be a TDK 4, not is Nolan making another Batman film, so could Christian Bale return for a Batman film 20 years from now and for it to be a continuation of the Nolan films? Yes. It's unlikely, but anything is possible, especially after they made a sequel to Psycho 20 years after the original without Alfred Hitchcock. WB owns the characters and they write the checks, so they can do what ever they want. I would love to see Batman beyond. Bring Keaton or Bale back as the old Bruce Wayne and put some young flavor of the month actor as Terry McGinnis.

Well sure, it could technically happen without Nolan, but why? The movies are totally his. Who would be chomping at the bit--after the new Snyderverse Batman stuff--to get Batman in the Nolanverse again, without Nolan involved? The sequel to Psycho, as dumb as it seems on its surface, at least makes some sense because Psycho was a totally newly developed story/franchise. Batman, of course, has had countless incarnations, and will no doubt have countless more.

It doesn't need it's own thread though - I think you'll find the guys are just giving you a ribbing because of that.

Just some friendly advice - take some time to get familiar with all the sections, & do a search for an existing thread first before you start a new one unnecessarily if you have a question.

You really just could've thrown the question out there in the new B vs S thread anyway.
