Yes, yes I am. Im damn sure not above taking some ones good idea. Besides I was just showing how good of an idea you have.

:1-1:

Don't worry mate, im not getting to this for a long time. Ill wait patiently till you solve all the problems so when I do get time I can fully ride your coat tails.

:hi5:
:lol
Only kidding Robbie! It will probably all go horribly wrong next week!

Atleast he's honest. :lecture :lol Looking great Rorywan.

Then I might ride BOTH of your coat tails mwAAAAHahaha! But it would not be the first time in either guys case! I do have the xenoviper one which I adore so we will see...

But my epic and incredibly all consuming Beatles project is soon coming to an End so I might need something to waste valuable time on soon.

Looking fantastic so far, I'm surprised that there aren't more of us
who have tried to fix that poor Scissorhands head...especially considering the massive number of Depp sculpts that are available nowadays....

I myself used a spare medicom Mad Hatter head....Once the eyebrows are shaved off, it's actually a great Depp sculpt and required minimal sculpting, just a bit of epoxy to get rid of the brow creases, and adding some ears....It's a nice choice for anyone who wants a wide-eyed innocent looking Edward rather than the grouchy don't-hit-my-girfriend-or-I'll-throw-you-out-a-window Edward. :lol

Update:
Now it gets very tricky. Some very very fiddly scar work.
These are not painted or sanded yet. I wanted tiny extruding lines so I can match to skin tone then dry brush edges. I matched a HD still from the film, his make-up was actually pretty crude when looked at today. These white areas are larger than the actual protrusions they will be painted back into the face, just blend areas. Using hot scalpel blade for the actual cuts in the skin. His make-up is a mixture of indentations (forehead, curl on cheek) and extrusions.

Just my two cents, but I feel if you repaint the eyes maybe looking to a certain direction, I'm dead sure it's gonna add so much more character to your end result.

Nope. I like these serious look in them mate, looking straight ahead, it suits the Todd head sculpt. Impossible to get away from the intense look in the original sculpt and it suits the defiant "get away from my girlfriend or I will stab you with a giant scissor" look from the end of the movie.

:lol

Sounds good. :duff

Just got my Sweeney head in today :monkey3

Still not sure if I'm going to ride Rory's coat tails on this, as I'm very satisfied with my current Xeno sculpt, but I snagged one just in case. One thing I'm curious to see though, is what a repaint of the eyes to a slightly lower position would do to downplay the menacing nature of the sculpt. Any photoshopers out there bored?

Thanks, gentlemen.

Just painted the scars, came out better than I thought.
Added a lot more purple into the skin tones as well.
Face almost done.

@Robbie: Neck, nothing really yet. I noticed that the major problem was the shoulders rather than the length of the neck itself. They didn't slope up naturally, so I padded out the area on the body. Made some foam shoulder pads of varying heights. Looks pretty good. I will have a final look at the neck when the hair is done.

Ordered a second Todd head, but only to make a real haired Sweeney, where did you order that mohair from Rory?..ebay?

Yes, eBay mate. It's actually quiet tricky stuff to work with but looks great.
I will post some updates soon, had a busy few days!
:panic:

So haven't had time to update for a week or two..
Added scars and nearly finished the hair (more work since I took these pics). a few bits to clean up and neck to look at...Almost done...
