Just seeing this thread for the first time. Very cool to see the progress shots.

Looking fantastic so far, I'm surprised that there aren't more of us
who have tried to fix that poor Scissorhands head...especially considering the massive number of Depp sculpts that are available nowadays....

I myself used a spare medicom Mad Hatter head....Once the eyebrows are shaved off, it's actually a great Depp sculpt and required minimal sculpting, just a bit of epoxy to get rid of the brow creases, and adding some ears....It's a nice choice for anyone who wants a wide-eyed innocent looking Edward rather than the grouchy don't-hit-my-girfriend-or-I'll-throw-you-out-a-window Edward.

Can't believe how well this is working. The paint around the eyes has gone a long way towards giving him that sad and innocent look. Really nice work here.

Thanks Mags, yeah that was the challenge here, to lose the sinister look.
I removed the eyebrows/facial hair and repainted the eye colour. Then added pinks and browns to make the sympathetic frown. Then sculpted scars, very tricky at this scale.
I hope some day we will get a decent HT set (DX please with ice sculptures!) but for now I'm happy to have gotten rid of that awful head. The HT body itself is excellent IMO.

Pretty much, I just cleaned up the hair plugs and back of head.
So it's pretty much the same as you have seen in the previous pics, just tidier. I have yet to shorten the neck, but I raised the shoulders and am still somewhat undecided if it needs it or not.

The hair is fixed at the roots and changable so i might do some futzing with that at a later point. Needs a little shine on the hair and the sculpted side hair sections.
