I also agree with this, I don't think the game is coming any time soon, 2027 at the absolute earliest, 2028 or 2029 if we're being realistic.
I think it will be released earlier but definitely not next year. If I win Limtoys makes Geralt. If I lose, I'll buy 5 more Arthurs. Deal :monkey3 :hi5:

Interesting when Witcher I remake comes, before or after part IV, they are too silent about that one.

I'm also a fan of the theory that the school of the Lynx has been founded by Ciri herself and that the abandoned Kaer Morhen has become a school for witchers again, but for her to undergo through the mutations, the trials, and create her own school it must mean something seriously wrong is happening in the world.

Adamczyk did an amazing job on Cyberpunk 2077 and the music in the trailer sounded just as good, I also heard Marcin Przybyłowicz and Percival Schuttenbach will be involved but I don't know if it's true, either way the soundtrack will be a banger!

I definitely get the concerns regarding the whole DEI thing (we all must've seen the clown show going on at Jaguar by now) but I relate more to your post, the whole anti woke movement has just gotten ridiculous at this point, literally anything with a woman in it is woke now. The thing is, the grifters complaining about wokeness in games don't even admit when they're wrong.

There was so much garbage surrounding Silent Hill 2 remake and Indiana Jones and The Great Circle and after those games released and proved themselves to be quality pieces of entertainment that respect and understand the source material, the grifters just shrugged it under the rug and moved on to different targets. I guarantee these people will keep bitching about Ciri and this game until it releases and if it turns out to be an amazing addition to the franchise they'll just disingenuously say it's mediocre or alright and keep moving the goal post.

Regarding CDPR, I'm still excited for their future stuff and Witcher IV, they released a brilliantly written, quality expansion last year for Cyberpunk, so even with all the "DEI hires" in there it's clear they're still producing quality narratives as of last year. The only point of contention I have is Unreal Engine 5, it makes every game a stuttery mess but almost every developer is switching over to it because it's easier to work with and eliminates the costs of maintaining an in-house engine. It also makes it so every game looks the same which is a shame, it seems like the only great proprietary engines left in the industry are Rockstar's Rage engine, Naughty Dog's engine, Decima and the Frostbite engine.
DEI isn’t the problem though, bad writing and implementation is the problem.

Yep. This is from 2 years ago.

Agreed. The new Indy game is a great example of how DEI and whatever doesn't affect a game when you have talented people that are passionate about the project working on it, no matter their sexuality or political beliefs.

I mean this isn't anything new really, RDR2 took 8 years to develop, GTA VI is taking even longer, Cyberpunk was in pre-production and went through a bunch of soft reboots for almost a decade and only entered actual development a few years before it was forced to release. Naughty Dog has been working on their new IP since 2020, after they released TLOU 2 but we still don't have a release date or even know that much about the game. Kojima has been working on Death Stranding 2 for just as long. It's going to get harder and harder when it comes to the development of these games, which means longer waits for us. As long as they deliver quality experiences I don't mind waiting, quality over quantity and all that.

And one of the coolest and most beloved characters in Final Fantasy XVI was a gay man because he was a well written character.

I don't mind waiting when the games are worth it but when someone points out that Skyrim was 13 years ago I start to freak out a litte :lol.
