I just can't fathom paying two thousand dollars for this.

Two thousand dollars. For a statue. By Sideshow.

Not life-size. Not half of that. And most likely not even a third of that.

I don't think the paint is anything extraordinary either..and it's only going to be worse on the final product.

...before I began collecting, I would have expected something like this to be priced at $500.

I think every statue/figure made today is incredibly overpriced. But this, to me, seems like...four times overpriced.

:goodpost:I agree it is very cool, VERY COOL. But I that is insane for $2000. To be fair tho And I even think sideshow noticed this now that they have there pricing right that they totally screwed up on the price of this. I would easily have paid $1000. But like I said 2000 for a statue that isnt even big... It Pf size. look at how big the black part of the base is. Sauron is bigger and he is a PF, So why couldnt this have been a PF? They know they screwed up. And I really want this piece. And i could even afford it but I would rather do things with my life other than give in to their mistakes. :gah:

$500?! I understand your complaints, but that is just plain absurd.
Maybe.

As a "collector" I think $1200 would have been a fair price for this.

..but as a normal human being, I can never really look at something like this and think it's worth more than $500.

It's hard to explain. :lol

My neighbor recently bought a used car for his son for $200. This is a very detailed three-foot statue.

I remember buying the 12 inch McFarlane Predator figure at Suncoast for $30.
Increase it's size, drastically increase the overall quality...and it's now two thousand dollars? Or even one thousand dollars?
Idunno, it just doesn't seem logical to me.

If this had been $1200 though, I would have most likely ordered it.

I would never put my kid in a $200 used car. It's all I'm saying.

As for the price, this is a $1200 piece, but Sideshow knew they could take us for all we were worth after the insane 'gotta have it' reaction everyone displayed after seeing it at the con.

I can see exactly what you guys are saying. When you get over $1,000 for a statue I start to think about what else I could be buying with that. I'd rather get a newer, and bigger, TV than buy a statue...but that's just me.

I think some of you guys sound a little hypocritical. In the grand scheme, what's the difference if you choose to buy 5 pf's around $2k or one piece at that price? You still end up paying $2k on statues right? I'd rather spend that much on one piece and keep my collection thin. I've always agreed that this piece is overpriced, I can prolly get the RWOS and Sauron pf's at the same price this is at, but I choose to pass on 5 regular pf's to be able to afford this one.

I wasn't at SDCC last year, so today was the first time I got to meet this beast face-to-face.

and you didn't bring your tape measurer? WTF man. What are your thoughts about this?

It's far out of my price range, so I don't really have any thoughts besides "it looks amazing." Looking at the other LSFs, this guy did seem small in comparison. More dynamic and visually-interesting, but smaller. Not as imposing.

He looks about the same size of Sauron doesn't he? What did you think about the other LSF's in person, which one's caught your eye?

Uh... all of them? They're really amazing pieces, every single one. I'd even go as far as to say they stole the show, but SSC unveiled so many 1/6th wonders it's hard to gauge just what caught my eye most. New Star Wars material, their own DC line. Their display is fantastic all-around. I think whatever they lack in HT reveals they more than make up for with their own surprises. This is undoubtedly their year.

do you think the new Hulk is taller or shorter then Wolf? I'm curious, cause that will gauge the price a little bit on him. He's a defn buy for me.

is there any manufactured piece by SS, CM or whoever you feel is worth $2k? I can't say for sure if this will be or not til I get it in hand. If not, I will prolly just return it, and be out the shipping cost. I would be shocked if that's not a production piece of Wolf cause the factories prolly have the protos in hand for reference.

Cinemaquette's pieces are limited though, that is the big difference. The quality is arguably better also.

Or u could feed a third world family for exactly 80 years! Ok, maybe more like 79+ years.

Thanks Blade! :rock
Could you please give some more info on his scale? How much does he measure up if we're standing next to it?

Agreed. But that $2k statue must be insanely detailed and scaled to carry the price tag of 5 PFs! I hope this is what we get as the final prod version.

Cheers,
Neo.

The more i look at this, the more i'm glad i have the Narin Wolf. This is horrible.
