It's interesting that SSC has chosen to make LSF's based on 1/4 scale and 1:1 busts that sold well for them and carry a huge after market value... Wolverine, Maul, Dr Doom, Iron Man, Predator ... Kenobi??? What do you think of Maul.. I'm seriously thinking he may be my next LSF... I really prefer movie properties over comic book ones..

Doom will be the best LSF so far IMO.

OK, with the spear, he comes in at 32".
But with the whip I would imagine it could be taller or shorter due to the flexibility of it.

Here are my issues with Maul:

While it's a nice looking piece, I think this is more of a rip-off than Wolf... and to think many people (myself included) think Wolf is overpriced. Maul is nothing more than sculpted head, gloves and boots. The majority of the statue is covered in his robe. That is, no sculpting and no painting.

Second, his lightsaber is way too big for him. It looks really bad actually.

Finally, the red on his face appears to be more of an orange-red. Some like it that way, but I would have liked to see it with more red.

I didn't buy directly from them. I got it from zoostores.com, but other places sell it.

You can't tell from pictures, but the materials they use (wood, metal, and glass) are top quality stuff. I hope I never have to move because it weighs a freakin' ton!

I've always had a certain understanding with SSC..well in my own mind anyway, and it's my philosophy for collecting, and appreciating the product that they make..... I come to the table knowing that their are very few things in this world that are perfect.. I think a lot of folks have built up in their minds, from pics, videos and websites, what these are... they are large scale statues...some people might think these are not worth 2K, I personally can see why they are and I really like them. I can't afford all of them.. Now that being said I have zero tolerance for the haters who don't own any, won't ever own any, and come here and to the Statue forum and spread.. hate, rumor, and out an out lies about these figures. I enjoy these LSF, I hope they make a ton more of these over the years, and for goodness sake why are non purchasers of these items calling for the demise of the LSF.. here is a very simple rule... DON'T BUY IT......no one is forcing you too.. let's say it all together now... DON'T BUY IT! Okay this will be my last post about haters, and trolls.... now back to the awesome statue pics and news!!!

I would consider myself an Iron Man fan more than a Predator fan (as you can tell by my avatar and signature ), but I still chose this statue over the Mk.III LSF.

Yes, Iron Man is a bigger piece, but that museum stance will become tiring quickly in my opinion.
There's so much more details and character to this piece. You'll be staring at this one for a very long time.

I no longer let the nettings on the legs bother me. This thing is that amazing in person.

depends how high your ceiling is. Since your still getting the Wolvie LSF? They are the same height, so you should know then..........
