Why is SS taking waitlist orders while telling people there will be no replacements? That makes no sense to me.

Sorry about your Wolf azurepred.

They are taking waitlist because there is a possibility people who are on flex may cancel their orders. They said they don't replace a statue with the ones that they have in stock. Replacements are separate. So it seems to me they have no more replacements. That's why I paid my flex earlier because I fear there would be no more replacements left. Thankfully mine is good, I checked it again and again and I found no cracks/breaks.

This statue has so much detail and has a big room for quality issue especially when the statue travels overseas from China, plus this thing is so difficult to make it's not like Iron Man LSF. Those may be the reasons why they end the production early. If many come with flaws and Sideshow has to take them back and pay for the shipping their profit is not what they expected to be.

My question is what do they do with the return statues that have flaws? Are they fixing them and try to sell them again?

That's a good question. Man,I really don't want to give this piece up, but it depends. At the very least, I would need the crack repaired and have some touch up painting done. Would like to get the unmasked head repainted.

I mean these will be super rare, even if I spend a hundred or two to fix it and enhance it, it may benefit me.

It makes a little more sense now. Thanks Mamba.

azurepred, sorry to hear of your misfortune bro. :(

It's a tough call, but I personally would not accept such a huge defect/damage.

First of all, we don't know how deep that crack goes. That leg could very well fall off with a good jolt. Second, no one should have to pay out of pocket to make repairs. Sideshow needs to step up and resolve this as this is an issue on their end. Lastly, 3rd party repairs on statues are just like on cars... they're never as good as from the manufacturer and it will always linger at the back of your mind that this piece has a damage that was covered up no matter how good the paint is.

I'm gonna wait and see what the guy I asked says. He is within driving distance and the statue is just so bad ***. The area with the crack is in a mostly black area, so I don't know.

got mine yesterday. It has a crack in the body and a big paint blotch on his arm. I was told by BBTS there are no replacement parts, and they offered me a lousy $75 credit to keep it as is. Well, basically , they just lost a customer, and this **** is going back.

Sorry to hear that man. Have you thought to call SS directly? I'm not sure it would make any difference but it might be worth a shot.
Reading about some of the damaged pieces has made me a bit nervous about mine. Has anyone here asked for the pack out
option or whatever it is? What does it entail?

Did ss specifically said somewhere they are ending production for this statue? They put item to WL all the time, usually it just means the current batch has sold out and they are waiting for the next batch from factory, when that arrives the item will be back in stock, especially consider this doesn't have an es.

their customer service has stated it to several people. Usually they list it as "backordered" I think though when they are waiting on another batch.

I think this is the only LE product that they stopped production on quick. I'm still not understanding why...unless the profit per piece is low.

When I was looking to pickup a combat terminator bust it always said back ordered when I looked and then it came back into stock after I traded for one. Seems like this one is different.

I broke out the spotlight to look for cracks, didn't find any.
I examined all the hairs on both heads. They are all there. (Hopefully they stay there lol)
Teeth are not crooked.
Didn't find any noticable paint spotches
All the parts seem to fit. I still have to swap the heads to make sure. Masked head is on the stand for now.
Netting glue is satisfactory. It get worse under the thighs but I can live with it.
Am I missing anything to check?

if they were going to get more batches, a replacement would be possible.

I did ask SS already and they said if that's what BBTS said, they get their info from SS. I decided I'm returning it. I went over this thing again with a LED light and man oh man, there are so many little nicks and dings all over this piece. No way am I keeping it, just no way. I really wanted to, but I spent $2k for P1 exclusive maquette and $2500 for the CM, and the QC is basically flawless on those 2 pieces. What a shame...

don't blame you. I wouldn't keep a cracked leg either! Repairs beyond regluing something back on are usually never done over here lol.

I still need to get the HCG Lifesize ALIEN bust painted where some has started to flake off but that will probably never get done.

Here is the replacement, I do find a big paint chip, please tell me the head is okay guys. I won't think they will give me another replacement.
