I found it on Ebay listed for $1800 and put it on my watch list. One day it was taken down, so I messaged the seller and he said he took it down because he had an interested buyer, but the guy had been screwing around and if he didn't pull the trigger by midnight, then he was going to re-list it. Obviously the guy didn't buy it, so the seller messaged me to see if I was still interested. Long story short, I offered him $1500 and we went back and forth until we settled on $1550. I asked him why he was selling so cheap, and he said he was having car problems and couldn't afford to fix it. I had him take pictures of the box with a piece of paper that had his Ebay username on it just to verify it was real. He assured me that there were no defects and that he only opened to make sure everything was accounted for. He is shipping via FedEx with insurance to cover the full price, and said he will be triple packing and covering the box with "fragile stickers". We proceeded with the purchase outside of Ebay and used Paypal, and in the description of the invoice he put that it was the "Sideshow Wolf Predator Legendary Figure- no defects, complete, new in box." In the shipping terms he put "Seller will ship via FedEx on 6/17 and provide tracking- seller also will be insuring package for full purchase price." The guy was super cool answering all questions, and agreeing to all my requests and even gave me his phone number to talk about it. So, I think all in all everything should work out fine.

Congrats to you for jumping on it before it sold out. I've been watching review videos all day and it is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. I'm sure it will be even more stunning in person.WOW well done

What is everyone displaying this dude in? I was thinking of building a custom acrylic case or something, but didn't know if there was anything already out that would fit him. We have cats, and I'm paranoid that they'll knock it over during their "investigation" of the new statue.

Got my wolf in today. There is a decent chip on the inner right thigh, which I feel like I've seen chips in the same area posted before in this thread, possibly the netting pulling off paint. One quill came out of his head, but luckily I found it in the box and should be able to glue it back in. The art box is dinged up on all the corners pretty good as well, and the outside box looked like it went through hell, there was even a foot print on the top of it! Ups is the worst. All in all, I think the damage is pretty minor considering some of the other problems I've read in this thread. Even with all that, I am absolutely astounded by how awesome and big this thing is in person. I will try to upload pics later when my gal gets home with the computer. What do you guys think, should I raise a stink about the chip, quill, and art box? Or just consider myself lucky it wasn't worse?

I'm a little surprised to hear that UPS abused the box. I've had good luck with UPS I guess. Congrats on the new piece! It sounds like you'll be able to fix him right up, if not I'd raise a stink.

I am surprised that all of these did not come broken in half by how poor the packaging is. I think this is going to be a life keeper since I would be terrified to ship this in the original box. I would probably end up sending the heads in one box, the base in another and the rest in the original box.

Yea, I work for a distributor, so I see how badly they treat boxes everyday. The seller originally told me he was shipping FedEx, so I was bummed when I got a UPS tracking number.

Mine was beat to hell and back. At first it did not look to bad but you could tell that it was thrown around and slammed a good bit. Still consider myself lucky since it has to come all the way across the united states and handled by many people along the way. Why they could not do a packing job like the amazing Reaper is beyond me. The Reaper packaging was the best I have ever seen...as it should be for a $1000 statue....and of course it should for a $2000 statue.

Did you have any issues with yours other thanthe box being busted?
On a side note, this statue has gotten me wanting to get rid ofmy Hot Toys preds now. I used to think they were as good as it gets with preds, but now they just look silly to me sitting next to Wolf!
