Head looks great but kinda big no way is his body 1/3

Agreed. The shape and detail, especially the mouth area look great. Even better than the SS version but the head is too big for the body, looks like a bobble head.

Can't wait to see the final product though!

looking at this piece with my P1 maquette, not even the body is 1/3. The piece all together is way closer to 1/4 than 1/3.

I got a smashed body a couple weeks ago. It didn't come with everything(arms) long story. Anyway I took some measurements and the body is actually 1/3 scale compared to the life size pred statue I have. The head however is only a tiny bit bigger than 1/4 scale. I figured since I have to sculpt the arms anyway, why not do a larger more to scale head. It is still really ruff, but here is how it is coming.

While I do think your newly sculpted head is too big for the body you have done an awesome job on it congrats. It might not be that the head is too big but the lower mandibles are over size and come out too far? Anyway that's how it looks in the photos, in hand could be a completely different.

Wow, super sculpt man! That's some crazy skills, can't wait to see the finished product.:clap:clap:clap

I'm really kicking myself for not picking this one up when I had the chance. Even with the netting issue, this is to me the best looking pred statue I have ever seen besides the Narin kits.

Had a really bad dream last night that my statue was broken in pieces on the other side of my room. Woke up to still see it standing in all its glory this morning. PHEWWWWW

Wow dude great sculpt. I can see why they are saying to big but it looks like its just the angle from the pic. Plus the no arms throws it off.

heres a few shots of my smashed project......

Anybody else having split ends on their dreds? The material over the top of the dreds on mine has split a couple of mm on both heads, but on one dred only on each thankfully.

Is $1550 a good price for this piece? What's everyoned opinion on future value on this? I'm about to pull the trigger, but feeling very guilty about dropping that kind of money. I have wanted this since its reveal, but I need to be sure of it as an investment piece that will be more valuable in the future. Do you guys think this will become a "grail" piece? Also, anything to be wary of when purchasing something of this magn.itude over the internet? The most expensive piece I've purchased was a sideshow bad blood.

It cost 2k new, and you can already buy it for $1550...that's a 22% drop in price. I'm no stock broker, but it doesn't seem like a great investment to me.

If you're not in love with any SS open edition size piece, I wouldn't buy it. You will more than likely lose money when you resell it.

Just my 2 cents. :duff

Yea, I just figured that's how the cinemaquette or p1 started off. I'm dying to get this thing, just wanna make sure it retains value in case hard times come. The seller is on hard times, so that's why I figure I'm getting such a deal.

Shipping this to a buyer without it being damaged would scare the hell out of me. I would only sell with local pickup.
