I'm pretty baffled at how the entire thing looks amazing except for those bizarre head sculpts. I love the textures in the suit and mask parts... but damn, those heads are so weird looking. The chin and jaw area is just massive.

I like the facial sculpt, doesn't have the PJ look, Ex. is a nice addition with the Muramasa blade. A new Sabertooth would compliment the blade Ex. very well.
Matter of fact I like this piece so much might buy 2 so I can have one with unmasked head and Muramasa blade and other one reg. style with hood on and claws out. Side by side in Besta would be nice.

I feel like they added that just to give it some height. Unnecessary that it's a "metal" base, but whatever it's hardly noticeable as my eye is drawn to the other parts of the statue.

Mouth looks really odd, he doesn't have a top lip, soon as I saw the pics I thought of this -

It looks amazing. Base is awesome. Sculpt and stance are great, head sculpt... I think the mouth is awkward

I'm not even that upset about the head. That's what a dog looks like when it snarls...
I just preferred a blank expression. The ex sword is cool, but I'm not interested. Probably order the reg down the line.

I think that's the issue... they went for a snarl, but instead missed the mark and ended up with a very odd and unflattering sculpt. The masked looks okay, but the unmasked is really off.

Considering the source material I think (this) Wolverine would be fine on his own.
It's been a long time since I've read the '82 miniseries but I don't remember Sabertooth in it, just a lot of dead Hand ninjas.
Looking at it more it really does look good, portrait and all in the colors I like most.
Will probably order, just not right away.
