:goodpost: I do have 2 Steve but there both in their boxes...which is where the wolverine LSF is heading in a few hours :(

:horror what!?!?!? You paid $2000+ for this built, a great display stand, did some customizations and have been praising its magnificence to us all and it's going in a box now?:thud: I don't get it my friend? :dunno

@ Divo

You were never going to like this though because you don't like mixed media. Personally mixed media is what makes PF's & LSF's impressive & that bit more realistic but like I said before each to there own. Were all entitled to our opinion :duff

Look, my intent is not to insult or pee on anybody's shoes. I am not even saying it's a bad sculpt, but for 2K, it should have/could have been way, way better. My points for such are listed in last post.

Anyhow, I feel the same way about my recent purchase of Rhino comiquette. Though the size & sculpt are really good, & yes fully sculpted, the compromised quality of material (fiberglass for christ sake!!!???), the ultra light weight, with possibly the cheapest, light weight, most uninspired base to date, the most basic paint apps imaginable, no/to simplistic graphic art on box, & all this for the super price of $400.00!!!??? Oh, & let's not forget SS recent misleading labeling tactics, & insulting customer service/ QC solutions.

I just feel that SS is offering a hell of a lot less product, quality wise ,than they used to, & are asking a hell of a lot more for it without justification.

Look, to a certain degree, we are all collector junkies. If we weren't, we'd be certified insane to spend this kind of coin on this hobby. But at the very least, SS should give us our money's worth, in product quality, service, Qc, pricing.........etc

As it stands, they are like the only Bar in town. with a clientele of raging alcoholics, & they keep watering down the booze while picking our pockets. Cheers.

P.S. Yes, I'm keeping the Rhino, as they will probably never make another anytime soon, & it's a must for the Spidey comi series. But, I am not as happy about it as I should be, or was with the other releases with this line. And this for more money???!!!

at least you didn't get the Hulk maquette......or did you? :peace

No, I did not. But came real close to ordering. Though a great sculpt, yes, even with the fabric pants, I still couldn't justify the $650.00 price tag. And Hulk is my favorite Marvel character! Again, for that price, & eggshell construction, WTF man. Besides, I'll wait it out, hoping for a Gore group fully sculpted, muscle ripping, raging version, which is bound to come. By then, hoping SS comes to their senses, & does right. Yeah, I can still hope, ..................but just barely.

:goodpost: Gore group hulk will also more than likely have edition size, hence the name sideshow COLLECTIBLES

:rotfl c'mon dude! You know the story....I've basically got no room left to display anything and most of my collection are in their respective shipping boxes. We are currently persueing a new larger family home so I can finally have a display room/mancave. I also am about to become a daddy for the second time (was expecting him/her to arrive today actually but still no show) so that's another reason why I need to make as much space as possible. Trust me, it hurts to have to put him back but at least I've managed to get him before it sells out :yess:

Well, I think Im certified insane but then everyone knows this already! :rotfl If you got it, you would spend it somewhere right?
Why not on somethings you love to have and look at everyday? Thats all after you take care of your family, bills, charity of choice, etc.

About the Service and pricing etc. SS is still the very leader in the industry. I have customs this big and they dont have the quality that SS offers for the price. Although they are great and big, you know its the SS that kicks butt when it comes to the quality of these 1:2. I will show you if you like...

What I admire most about SS it that, they have the courage to offer these to the collectors. I tell you, its not easy. There is so much they must do to get this kind of quality to us from China.

Ok so they didnt include a rage unmasked head, no big deal. Its not like we cant customize our statues! All the HT guys do it, why not us?
I tell you what, you guys just wait and you will have your extra head, by an equally great artist.

Lastly, I keep going back and looking at all the new 1:1 out, and then I see the price point! :horror
What I see is that its just bigger for 5-6x price point than these, so to me these statues are a bargain at 2K.
Keep them coming SS! And thanks you so much! :clap

About a few things I think we are all slightly insane collecting these statues. Lol
But there are many good points eg about quality and the alternative head sculpt . And I have to say as far as cloth vs sculpt I prefer the pf over comiquette :)

Everytime I go to cancel my order for this I peak in here and see the praise being heaped on this thing by the people who have it in hand. Egads what a tough choice :panic:

I'm a bit hesitant to spend the money after only being in this hobby for a year. My biggest issue though is the poor job they did on those shoulder plates. Very lazy paintwork for 2k.

still thinking the same about that point :(

you have to remember nothing on a manufactured piece is gonna be perfect. It doesn't bother me, but I've been around for a long time. It's such a small thing to be bothered about imo. Before in hand pics came up, I was one of the ppl saying this LSF was the weakest of the line at 2k, but I think so far, it's one of the best. They all are pretty bad *** actually, worthy of 2k to me.

I have to agree in that the whole package is what makes it worthy of 2k to me. The shoulder pads aren't a huge issue for me I don't think they look that bad and won't be changing mine. Can't wait to get it

I've been in the hobby less than a year and bought this. I pre-ordered this after being in the hobby for a little over a month
