I have the1984 version on PO and think it overall looks great, but I have to agree with you that the portrait on that GA version is superior.

I agree it’s the best likeness. But I also think that doll hair looks terrible, and the sculpted hair is much more attractive to me.

Funny you posted that, it actually made my predicament even harder to choose now. I love both for different reasons, though the head sculpt on JL looks abysmal now. Besides that though, I still actually like the presentation of the JL figure with the muted colors and such.

Other than the outdated head sculpt, I still prefer the look of the BvS one. The JL figure always seemed to have something strange going on with the legs, they seem a different shape from the BvS figure. And the HS is worse...

Yeah I hear you, I naturally gravitate a bit more to the more muted tones. This 1984 version is certainly brighter without question, but I am happy that it is still toned down compared to that Star-spangled (Concept) version, which IMO is much brighter.
So for me, even though I really like the muted tones of the JL version, I think the 1984 version is better in just about every other respect.

Damn, the figure looks absolutely glorious in Justin's review. No way I can pass up getting this now. And sure the Inart will probably blow it away but they'll likely go with the darker BVS or JL armor and I'd really like to have this more vibrant armor represented as well.
