Wonder Woman - June 2, 2017

Yeah, it would be nice for DC if this turns out even okay, and also for us fans. But, we look back at the track record so far for the DCU which doesn't bode well for instilling confidence...

SS was one of the worst films last year

BvS was trying to do way too much. It felt like there were several movies all rolled into one package. I will admit that I enjoyed very much the WW bit, and Affleck in and out of the cowl. Irons was cool as Alfred. Downer Supes sucked.

MoS could have used more levity. I did enjoy the 'self discovery' of Supes.

But yeah, I don't have much stock in the DCU. I think DC was best off keeping their films seperate from one another. I still feel that way. Even if WW ends up being half-decent, the DCU will have a long ways to go. Even if they get along far enough.

Pretty much this in a nutshell.

I agree with twisted freak. Marvel had a plan all along, DC seems to be throwing darts at a board hoping they connect. They should stop trying build a cinematic universe and just make movies with good stories.

Which is why I have faith in this movie. It's a standalone film much like Captain America's first movie was. It has nothing in the main film that will attempt to mesh worlds or setup a bigger Justice League movie.

Isn't it strange how it is the complete opposite between Marvel and DC in TV. The CW is fantastic with DC Characters but Marvel it's a hit or miss type of series

Last I checked Netflix is TV and those are the highest rated superhero shows

Those don't count lol. They are good, but only with DD. They missed a bit with the other Defenders. Still would take Flash over any if those, personally.

I like Flash too but it's a too tally ensemble that stretches scenarios out more than they have to. Give me Daredevil any day!

I agree. They should of made the superman and Batman film just about Batman fighting superman and not try and cram all this crap in. Suicide squad doesnt work because it was stupid to put the squad to fight a magical witch with super powers...

Their mission should have been smaller
