Yeah many of their responses were very antagonistic.

They even posted that they were ready to take on the angry men head on with a "We don't care that you're angry about this" attitude, word from behind the scenes was that it was about time conservative men got a taste of their own hateful medicine if they enjoy having a bully of a president so much then be prepared to be bullied and treated like ****.

Supposedly Alamo even set up a war room for this lol

I'm sure everyone here is already aware that Alamo's owner is a super liberal.

lolololololololol

Since gender is now fluid. Men can just say that they indentify as a women for that day. If it's works for a bathroom, it should be work for a movie theater. :wink1:

Leave it to a lefty to miss the whole point about Wonder Women.

I agree that the people making threats are idiots but the theater had to see this coming.

If this was a publicity stunt to get the Alamo name out there then shame on them.

I view an employee only screening different than an all woman screening.

That being said there are enough movie theaters in existence to enjoy this movie so Alamo's publicity stunt should have zero impact on anyone normal wanting to see this.

But Alamo knows very well that there are nut cases out there so why instigate the hornets nest just for advertisement.

Now if a man wants to peacefully protest this stunt i'm ok with that.

I'm certainly not going to waste my time getting upset over it lol

The Alamo doesn't need the hype..they're already at that level

Well since politics is not allowed here I think we can just end it here lol

You can have your "women rule" movies but you dont have to antagonize everyone else. Thats a lesdon that paul feig and ghostbusters sadly failed to realize.
Noe Alamo is making the exact same mistake, do i care about a bunch of ladies in a dark room watching a flick? No.
Am i bothered by how unpleasant the alamo guys are being on fb? Yes, im annoyed about it. After what jye posted about what they said im very annoyed. They are using wonder woman as an excuse to create drama and division and an excuse to be a holes to their male costumers. They are using the movie as an excuse to be rude

People out there need to calm down, it a just movie, You shouldn't be threatening people harm over it.

On having a female only showing, from a business stand this doesn't make sense. WW enjoys broad appeal with both men and woman. Why would you want to alienate half your patrons. Also having an all female staff for the showing seems hacky and silly.

I think its a great idea... sounds like it would be fun as hell and its not like every showing is just female, they just picked a couple. Now all the idiotic things the theater said after I didn't know about until now and that was not a smart thing to do. That just made things 10x worse.

Bondage and domination?

That's the irony of all this. Wonder Woman was never created for the purpose of female empowerment, she was created by a perverted psychologist as a fetishist icon for boys and military men fighting overseas. Everyone of those early comics had her getting captured l, tied up, gagged and whipped. :lol

It was though, the man was just a little kinky, which is something the feminists would have you believe is a bad thing.

Not only that, the man was ahead of his time:

Not even girls want to be girls so long as our feminine archetype lacks force, strength, and power. Not wanting to be girls, they don't want to be tender, submissive, peace-loving as good women are. Women's strong qualities have become despised because of their weakness. The obvious remedy is to create a feminine character with all the strength of Superman plus all the allure of a good and beautiful woman.

No wonder why female characters are considered strong only when they're literally physically strong, it's so dumb.
