OK, so I finally saw this today... and I hate to say it (not sure why I hate to) but...

Sorry Jye...

I enjoyed it. :gah:

Yes I did. I enjoyed a Zach Snyder influenced DC movie.

I felt Gadot's opening narration was cringe-worthy ... but she won me over. I've always liked Pine, has a good sense of humor for a pretty-boy. Villains were OK. Super-thug at the end was DC-typical...

I actually enjoyed the movie more in what I would traditionally call the slow parts. Once she started fighting I lost interest. But I liked La La Land Island. I thought Gadot did a convincing job acting when her 2nd mother died.

I like London. Lots to laugh at. Fun, cute, all that. The relationship was convincing too. Thought the dialogue on the boat was very funny.

The end was muddled and I lost track of why WW kept changing her mind. I'm sure it made sense on paper but its totally confusing in the moment.

There. I said it. Hope you're happy Zack Snyder.

Added my quik-review while you posted, Jye.

I have a more forgiving scale than SNIKT, but I'd give this a 7/10. It's like Ant-Man to me. Fun yet forgettable.

A "7" on my scale is like saying "good" but not quite convincingly. Like: Yeah, it was good, I guess. I liked it while I was watching. Until the end.

Yeah I figured you wouldn't go higher than that even if you walked away liking it, you are a tough nut to crack lol.

Man poor Gaspar he won't know what to think anymore lol

I've sorta liked the trailers so I think there's a possibility I'll enjoy the film whenever I end up seeing it. Then they'll just have to reboot Batman, Superman and Justice League around this film. I don't think that'd be asking for much....

Like you said, I don't expect to like it more than BvS.

I'm on more neutral ground now, my expectations range from mediocre MCU (or average MCU which is the same), or good MCU at best, I honestly don't expect say Iron Man or even Winter Soldier.

Maybe Cap 1?

One thing's sure, I sure as hell don't believe that RT score in the for a second :lol and I'm 100% sure it's nowhere close to it.

Loved this movie. Well written. Well directed. Beautifully shot. Gadot is the perfect Wonder Woman. My only main issue was Chris Pine. Oh he was a very good Steve Trevor, but he was my top pick for Hal Jordan GL.

Can you guys stop comparing each other with oh felt like cap or im or antman? LOL both characters where from that golden age of comics, both were created in 1941 i mean LOL, no wonder you guys are all anti dc and anti marvel bwhahaha watch each movie as if its the only one out there.

This movie blew cap, iron and thor's origin movies away.

Lol jk

I love both companies. Could never hate on either. I love cap and iron man before the mcu and Spider-Man and Batman are my favorite heroes of all time. I love the story telling of dc and enjoy the fantastic world of marvel.

But I see why some fans compare. It's an age old battle like PlayStation vs Xbox , Star Wars vs Star Trek, superman vs Batman . The list goes on

Well this is a movie thread and as such we tend to compare one movie to another especially one that is the same genre. When a sci-fi movie comes out it is usually compared to star wars or star trek because those are the two most widely know sci-fi movies, or when a slasher film comes out it is usually compared to Jason or Freddy movies. That's how movie fans and reviewers get their readers to relate to what movie they are talking about. That is unless something new comes out that is totally unrelatable to anything else.

Its all fun and jokes but i honestly see the trend when seeing reviews, 95% are heavily based on what they seen before and judge it that way lol

Everything in life is a comparison to what we've experienced before. Everything. No exceptions. How can anything be judged otherwise? For example you can't pick your favorite Burger joint if you've only ever eaten at one. You'll think it's the greatest if you enjoyed it, meanwhile everyone else is telling you it sucks... :)

I thought it was good. My favorite part was when Wonder Woman fought all those German soldiers after Chris Pine said "no u can't do it", or the new DC intro. :lol

Ludendorff and Dr.Poison were good too. Gadot was okay I guess.
