pturtle's return to the forum, Khev is the wall lol

Well that's up to him. He can always voluntarily hit the brakes. ;)

OT but of those Tony Stark's carried the most weight with me.

Even though it wasn't a great movie by any means I'd have to say that Gwen Stacy had the most weight for me. Especially with Peter sucking it up and choosing to inspire and stand up for others while he was still mourning her loss.

I'm thinking of your burger-steak analogy and I feel that it would be more fitting for TDKR to be given that distinction than Logan.

I hope your plan isn't to simply counter every positive post with "no way, it was absolutely awful" because if so then, well, let's just say your post count might be stuck on 10,159 for a while. ;)

"Stonewall" Khev! :lol :lol

Fried/grilled/roasted anything is not heathy.
I'm not vegan at all tho. :lol
The body can handle a bit of added fat, it's only unhealthy, like most fats, when accompanied with sugars.

Plus everything in excess is bad.

But a nice steak is great for you.

Not that I'm saying Logan is a steak, logan is more like a burger with bourbon dressing.

I quite enjoy pturtle's movie banter he always presents a good case even when up against overwhelming evidence that proves him wrong.

Like with his "X2 action is superior to TWS action" nonsense lol

But he always presents his case with thorough analysis, it never irks me like it might others.

You're right she doesn't seem to have a kryptonite which shows what a good move it was to kill her "Lois Lane" right before her eyes. That immediately made her much more sympathetic and has never been done in a supehero movie outside of ASM2 (that I can recall.)

Acting can make an already good movie even better or it can be distractingly bad. Gadot's performance did neither so it's a wash. Harrison Ford's performance in TFA was better than his acting in ANH but that obviously didn't make it a better film. If we're going to camp out on nothing but acting performances then we might as well purge all superhero movies from our collection and start commissioning custom dolls from My Left Foot. :)

By the way pturtle, we get that since WW was a good movie you of course hated it. But things have changed since the Suicide Squad thread. I hope your plan isn't to simply counter every positive post with "no way, it was absolutely awful" because if so then, well, let's just say your post count might be stuck on 10,159 for a while. ;)

I enjoy going back and forth discussing with others on why they liked the movie and I why I hated it, I don't think I've been disrespectful or even argued with anyone in here but I guess I can't do that. It's prob best I don't post in this thread though because I just can't find any redeeming qualities to talk about :lol

:duff

I'd love to argue this point but I have to leave this thread :lol

But X2 action > TWS action all day!

I have to agree with Pturtle in that the opening sequence of X2 is better than anything in DCEU or MCU.

Just that scene.

The rest of the action, nah.

Nope, the Mansion scene smokes everything as well. I need Clownprince to post that video detailing why X2's action is phenomenal.

When it comes to action, I think everything should play a part, all action scenes shouldn't just be cool looking.

I know I'm definitely in the minority here, but I think Superman Returns action absolutely smokes Man Of Steel's action.

Also, Magneto's plastic prison escape is amazing too.

Wolverine vs Lady Deathstrike didn't age well though, that's the worst action scene of the movie.

I can see eye to eye with you on the opening scene, but the Mansion scene is just average, nothing remarkable.

I wouldn't count that as action, not even unconventional action.

It's a great scene though.

Agreed.

The nightcrawler scene was better than half of what the mcu puts out today. I don't think I've ever seen a scene shot so well. Sad they cut him out of x3 ... nightcrawler is a great addition to the team.

Agreed.

To me, the mansion scene is just perfect. It's still the best Wolverine moment in the entire series.

Jackman's acting, and Singer's camera angles in that scene are phenomenal, especially when Wolverine stabs the 3rd soldier and as soon as he does his flashlight flashes right on the camera because they can't show Wolverine stabbing a guy in the neck. It's just perfectly shot, well acted, and intense.

I honestly don't think anything from the MCU or DCEU has that kind of action, most of it just seems like generic cool superheroic stuff. The Winter Soldier had cool action, but nothing about was special, same with MOS or or the Avengers.

When it comes to super heroic action, nothing has topped Spider-Man 2 train scene in my opinion.
