Nope, the Mansion scene smokes everything as well. I need Clownprince to post that video detailing why X2's action is phenomenal.

I can't remember that video for some reason...

I quite enjoy pturtle's movie banter he always presents a good case even when up against overwhelming evidence that proves him wrong.

Like with his "X2 action is superior to TWS action" nonsense lol

But he always presents his case with thorough analysis, it never irks me like it might others.

X2's is better, CW's is just a CGI mess.

I have to agree with Pturtle in that the opening sequence of X2 is better than anything in DCEU or MCU.

Just that scene.

The rest of the action, nah.

yup, mansion scene is pretty **** too.

idk tho, that bvs warehouse scene gives it a good run for its money.

The nightcrawler scene was better than half of what the mcu puts out today. I don't think I've ever seen a scene shot so well. Sad they cut him out of x3 ... nightcrawler is a great addition to the team.

Even a bigger disappointment that he was wasted in apocalypse.

To me, the mansion scene is just perfect. It's still the best Wolverine moment in the entire series.

Jackman's acting, and Singer's camera angles in that scene are phenomenal, especially when Wolverine stabs the 3rd soldier and as soon as he does his flashlight flashes right on the camera because they can't show Wolverine stabbing a guy in the neck. It's just perfectly shot, well acted, and intense.

I honestly don't think anything from the MCU or DCEU has that kind of action, most of it just seems like generic cool superheroic stuff. The Winter Soldier had cool action, but nothing about was special, same with MOS or or the Avengers.

When it comes to super heroic action, nothing has topped Spider-Man 2 train scene in my opinion.

Now that I 100% agree with you on. No spidey film or hero film has touched that train scene yet.

I enjoy going back and forth discussing with others on why they liked the movie and I why I hated it, I don't think I've been disrespectful or even argued with anyone in here but I guess I can't do that. It's prob best I don't post in this thread though because I just can't find any redeeming qualities to talk about :lol

I'm just saying that if you were planning on picking up your old hobby of leading the threadcrap charge against yet another DCEU film to not be surprised if some of your posts go quietly into the night so to speak. ;) It kind of seemed like you were gearing up to go down that road again. Negative reviews and debates are obviously allowed as long as it isn't a barrage of negativity anytime someone wants to discuss the positive or a concerted effort to change people's minds, that's all.

So again a thread doesn't have to be all sunshine and rainbows, the Kong thread for instance was basically nothing but negative reviews however when Maulfan stated how much he liked it no one mocked his opinion, tried to change it, or bury his praise in a sea of negative "counter" posts. You can say what you didn't like about WW but keep in mind that this is a film that struck a chord with the majority of the audience and reviewers and you don't need to make your minority opinion that much "louder" in order to even out the praise.

Hopefully that clarifies things and we can all get back to laughing at the so-called "action" sequences of the X-Men films. :monkey3

:lol :lol

gotcha. I don't plan on threadcrapping.

But having said all that there are a couple of threadcrapping loopholes just as an fyi. For one it's pretty much open season on any movie *not* in it's own thread. Like if you wanted to call out how sucky GOTG2 was compared to WW here in this thread. That'd be fine.

Also if people really are just having fun and joking around then that's fair game too. Like how karamazov often tries to bait me by pretending that RO isn't one of the greatest films of all time. He knows that being a contrarian for the sake of humorous irony offers some nice levity from time to time so I can't help but appreciate his jokes. So I suppose it's a case by case thing.

Nice.

I actually enjoyed GOTG2 quite a bit but the 3rd really flew off the handle :lol

:lol :lol :lol

:lol :lol

Is the general consensus here that GOTG2 sucked?

I thought it was on par with the first movie, the first one was probably a tighter film overall though. Overall I'd give it a 7/10 like the first movie.
