Ok, ok, I know many is not the biggest fan of liefeld. Don't forget he has sold millions of x-force and broke a new record on that book. So he has way more fans then almost all of today's artists. I wonder where are all his fans? Seems like there is 2 of them here. Hmm... Ok if no liefeld WW then a Marc silvestri WW would be only one of the best ever. We all love silvestri right? I've always been a huge fan of his art only second to Jim lee.

When did Silvestri draw Wonder Woman other than some convention sketch? I like Marc's artwork, but I'd rather see WW inspired by Adam Hughes and Terry Dodson as they were both regular artist or cover artist on the WW title.

As for Jim Lee, I like his art too, but keep his style to the X-Men line as he was very influential to their look in the 90's

All that said, I'll think WW will be influenced by multiple sources and not one soecific artist like Batman and Superman seemed to be.

Even Ivy and Harley, who had control art from a particular artists, don't look exactly like the art. The pose and details are the same, but it stops there.

I think if they apply the same recipe they used for the up coming Red Sonja we'll be in good shape. That piece both looks beautiful and badass. Wonder Woman needs the same treatment.

I want an SSC inspired piece....lol. They have done such a good job blending styles and influences on most of their pieces of late, including Gladiator Hulk which deviates from the comic in look quit a bit, I am confident SSC will get the look right. Hell Batman, Superman, and Joker might have been inspired by the comics, but they still look like real life versions of the characters I loved, not comic book versions.... Which is awesome.

I like Nicola Scott's rendition of Wonder Woman, a lot. She was the artist during a good part of Gail Simone's run, and did a great job.

what's up with liefeld's gun renditions? they all look so weirdly shaped. i know liefeld gets bashed hardcore, which is deserved and all, but i'll admit hesitantly, that as a kid i actually didn't have too much issues with his art style (or lack there of) while he was doing x-force. it wasn't till i grew up and my taste in art became more refined did i notice how terrible he was. though to this day i still say his rendition of cable was not too shabby. everything else obviously can be flushed down the ol toilet.

There are some artwork that you've commented on that's really good that I like...just not Liefeld's art.

However, art is subjective.

Regardless of what I, or others, think of him or his art...he does have a fanbase despite being in the minority.
