I hears ya Big C. I pre-ordered her and I have the first too Wonder Woman art of War statues (they're 5200 ES each)! Yay ME!!! As a humongoid fan of the WW I could not NOT have this PF. Stunning from head to toe.

The EX Sinestro has an ES of 500, and Lobo will obviously have a small run too - hold out for the "lesser-known" characters if you're craving a low ES.
Personally, I think Sinestro/Lobo looks better than Batman/Superman...

This was very well put. Couldn't have said it better myself. Now the one good thing about this 10,000 ES for Ex and Reg together is that we can wait and see how her paint turns out before ordering. Also, for those that don't care about EX, places like the WB store will discount her heavily like they did with Bats PF so you will be able to get her for $320 including shipping. I am waiting it out since I don't care about the Axe Ex.

Some of you talk as if every piece Sideshow makes now has these kinds of numbers; Punisher, Sinestro, Apocalypse, Red Skull, Black Widow are just a few examples that have numbers like the "good old days", so if it's really that important to you, there are still tons of pieces to collect.
And as I've said many times, there is an advantage to collectors in having these big-name characters made in large numbers: having them around longer means they potentially attract more new collectors, and eventually translate into more demand for your precious 500 ES pieces. If you don't take such a short-sighted view of these numbers, you'll see the potential benefit they might have to the hobby, even if it takes away from the "specialness" of these particular pieces.
If every piece was being pumped out at these numbers, I'd accuse Sideshow of the old "pump and dump". But as it stands, if it's limited to the most popular characters only, I wouldn't sweat it.

Problem is, it'll be a year before any of us actually see the paint. In the meantime, we need something to complain and fight about to pass the time.

looks like there will be a lot of lonely batmans and supermans out there. And we thought batmans ES was big. This just smashed all records. I wonder if catwoman will be more than batman?

I bet WW gets somewhere around 5000 regulars. No way she gets more total pieces than Batman. And there's DEFINITELY no way Catwoman gets anywhere near these numbers. She'll probably be more like Harley Quinn.

Probably around 10000 for the Reg. I never thought I'd see the day. Catwoman will be ridiculous ES too. As I said before this has to be the highest ES EVER for a high end full size statue. I thought Batman was beyond nuts but this just takes the cake CBG. Let's head out of here before the dudes get all attack-dog mode on us for talking ES though.
I'm sure I will buy her eventually somewhere but that will be a long time from now and at a good discount.

Ridiculous and overproduced imo and I'm saving money since I only bought Supes Ex because of these numbers. I do hope youre right but sideshow is into overkill ES these days especially with DC.

Thank you and many of us agree completely. I got 3 replies to the post, First one said this makes his collection not great? Not at all, just nothing rare or in demand that everyone does not have or can get easlily. Awesome to look at but no rare gems and I believe collectors treasure those pieces and it makes the hobby exciting. Second was bizzare about why I post if I am not buying. I would wager I have a far larger collection than that buyer and would bet any amount of money on that. The reason I post is I do buy and collect loads of statues so again that statement was again useless and added nothing to the debate. We all like buying Iconic figures to enjoy but at what cost?
Here it is simple for everyone out there. If PolySTONE is no longer being used and weight, quality, ES and all the rest mean nothing then why not rally other companys to buy the 1/4 scale license for the same process Kotobukiya uses on the $100 1/6 scale statues and sell them for $200. We are no longer getting polySTONE so why pay for thin easy to break resin when we are already at the gates of plastic with the ever lowering material quality and cost. At $200 they would display exactly the same and I would not care if they where even numbered. If loads of cash can be made in 1/6 scale at $100 then lots of profit at $200 for 1/4 scale is a no brainer.
And as the post from COI was really nailing the issue in a well thought out way I must agree with him. I own all the old Sidehsow pieces so this trend just makes my collection more solid as long as I am careful what I buy from now on. It is all true and if rare means nothing and exposure is great then $200 plastic resin wonder womans with no ES sold everywhere in bulk would be even better. But yes, there are still many Gems made that I order and I guess I just wanted a Gem Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman............... Maybe the fully sculpted with even more WOW factor 1/4 scale pieces that Sideshow WILL make of these characters will have lower ES.
Happiness to everyone, and hope for a year of great statues and a fully sculpted Arkham City/Asylum Batman PF. I will order no matter what the ES

You can't say I'm wrong until we have the numbers; I'm not claiming fact, it's just a guess. I'll bump up these posts when we know what's what, and we'll see who's closer to the mark. I really can't see Catwoman being anywhere near that high. Maybe 6000 total at the most.

I keep seeing people saying you can buy the Batman PF on WB store for a discount but I just checked their website and they don't even have the Batman PF..
