OOPS! :D

Hey, I did LOVE those marines shots! I never new about the details on Hudson. Those ropes or whatever. I missed those completely. Great stuff!!!
And, glad I had a hand in those. Honored bro! :rock

Thanks, Les! Your sculpt looks awesome...

Problem is I have apparently 'exceeded my bandwidth' on Photobucket. I have to wait until the 23rd for it to reset... :google

I think it's a scam -- they want me to try something called TrialPay... the goal of which you can guess by the name.

So I've lost my pictures, my GIFs, my sig, everything. I'll try to call them tomorrow and sort it out. Otherwise, I may have to join another site.

Anybody know a good one?

IIIIICK! :monkey4
Damn! Sounds like they are playing hardball there.
My guess, too many gifs!
I thought this site was running just a tad faster! :lol
(Sorry bro. :D Jus kiddin'. Hope you get it back sooner than the 23rd...)

I'm deleting like hell! :lol
Sorry you guys are having Photobucket troubles. If you find any better alternatives, share em! And good luck!

All my images went down yesterday too WG . . . . photobucket sucks man!

I contacted them last night via email. They got back to me promptly today. Apparently there was a problem on their Oct 23 settings for me: they didn't reset the bandwidth. So they say I'll be back up today.

Stendec, perhaps it's the same for you. Email them.

This only really works out if you want to get a paid account, but I really like almost everything about FlickR (the only thing I don't like is that they are having growing pains regarding "mature content", but that doesn't really apply to the kind of work you guys post). With a paid account you will definitely not run out of bandwidth....

(And I just happen to run the 6th Scale Pool there, and would love to have any of you contribute your work....)

And here's a style that's a little different for that asss-kicking marine...

VASQUEZ

I built the chest rig from scratch: found some nylon belts, a gun, a holster, a buckle...got some glue and voila. I really like the holster look. It's completely functional. Built the knife and strap on her leg too. Oh yeah, and I painted the gun handle pearl white with gold screws.

I like that. Did you bleach out her uniform? It looks better.

I gave her BDUs a paint-wash with diluted white and a little gray.

Here's more futzed pictures:

I photoshopped the skin color a bit to match, best I could, until I get a repaint.

These ladies need some serious facial work. :)

Wor-Gar,
Could you please tell what body did you use for that custom? I bought Vasquez recently and found the body supplied way too thin for a accurate Vasquez. Jeannette Goldstein was really muscled-up (and had bigger breast too) than the female body provided by Hot toys.

Boy, if they were alive and heard you say that... you'd have to answer to some tiny fists.:lol

But seriously, I can't wait to see them after a repaint.

Sure, it's the same HT body, but with the rubber sleeve arms from the Cheong Dragon figure. Many of us in the Aliens thread got them a while back. I also added some cotton balls to increase Vas' bust size -- although it may not show so much in this straight on photo.

Vas really had a very thick torso, but I couldn't heft her up that way as her pants barely fit on her waist as it is. But the cotton balls will help if you're going for a look without the smartgun.

And thanks Mr. Fusion. Face paints are coming soon from the Master.

Wor-Gar: Pardon me if you've answered this question before, but is Vasquez's pistol really a Smith & Wesson Model 39, or was it converted from something else? The reason I ask is because I've been looking high and low for one, but most 1:6 scale S&Ws are of a later version. The ones that came with SSC's X-Files figures is one of those. Another came with one of the Dragon Models fire support weapons pack that's also very close to it, but both of them need a few mods to be spot on. If yours happens to be the real deal, please let me know where it came from, 'cause I'd really like to track one down for my Vasquez. Much obliged!

I'm in a BOND mood lately...

Just a conversion of the Moonraker JAWS I did last night.

Original JAWS..................................................JAWS from "Spy Who Loved Me":

I always preferred the blue jacket, gray pants outfit for this 'water' villain:

Recipe: Double-breasted jacket is from the Larry Talbot I believe, bleached and dyed blue, silver buttons added, new tie (from FDR), original brown pants dyed charcoal gray. Of course, my NEW Jaws still needs some futzing.

Thanks to Paul Carson for the SS Jaws, and the wonderful 'arm-surgery' conversion he did to eliminate the monkey arms. :rock

Excuse the ignorance--- Larry Talbot?

Man that Vasquez looks like how I remember her the most...

That is an awesome job...

THANKS! :)

I believe it was a 39, but I'm taking this info from another board member who knows more about Aliens than I do. I had this gun in my loose parts box and have no idea where it came from -- but it's shape looked closest to the 39. I just painted the handle pearl white. But there are some similar guns at War-Toys... which is where I was gonna get it from until I found I had one.

Excuse the ignorance--- Larry Talbot?

Great eye, Neil! I got this jacket loose on ebay, but I do believe that's what it is after a little research. It's a tad short obviously, as Jaws is so tall, but the collar is very accurate and its double-breasted, which is very hard to find, and its light enough to be dyed blue. I would also recommend the Legacy Moore d-breasted white jacket -- it looks perhaps a little longer and is white so its easy to dye...although right now its a pricey piece to come by.

Is Neil asking who Larry Talbot is? (If yes, he's the human form of Universal's Wolf man, played by Chaney Jr.)

And I've said it before, but that Jaws is a beaut.

Oh yeah, you're right, he was... I didn't read my own quoted post.

And yes, that's who Talbot is.

And thanks again, Phil! :)

Vasquez looks awesome. Great job WG, now you just need to get them off to Les for paints.
