OK, I posted this in the Luke thread but figured I'd put it up here too for anyone who stops by (plus I haven't posted anything in so long).

BASIC FUTZING

With a really easy subject: Luke ANH

Even though you don't see them, the hips always bug me. That's the tunic, soaked and cruched up below.

Cotton works wonders.

Water treated tunic post-crunching.

Shape, let stand to dry.

I also soaked the belt and stretched it out for a few minutes by hand. It sits lower on his hips now.

And here's what happened after he dried...

The tunic dried, with wrinkles set in as you can see if you match up the wet Luke with the dry. Looks better I think. You tell me.

The belt still gives him too pinched a waist -- sort of reminds me of the '95 Luke in 3 3/4". I think the belt could stretch a little more and maybe adding some tissue around the waist to give just a little more girth so he doesn't look so broad-shouldered.

Just thought I'd show off my Belloq from the first page against the new SS Belloq seen today...

I got pretty close... for stringing together bits o' junk.

Mine's the "Tanis Dig Belloq" version with open shirt, scarf and very pale blue shirt -- he's the Belloq you see at the Well of Souls all the way to the truck chase. The Belloq SS chose is the "Cairo Belloq" that Indy meets in the bar (with pokadot tie). The SS one is inaccurate in that when he dawns the machine gun, he actually is wearing a white-and-gray striped shirt with a solid gray tie. Anyway...

Great Futzalooza there Greg. Luke looks great and I love your Belloq. I think the SSC B just needs some grey touches in the eybrows and temples and he'll look fine. I need a Marion White dress and Idol Env anyway so I will prolly get him.

Oh, and what's that cool looking 1/6 space vehicle behind Luke?

Your Goldfinger is really incredible. That outfit is just dead on. I'm working one up right now with the suit and hat he wore briefly upon arriving in Geneva.

I fear I'll have to detontate a small atomic device in your collection room to radiate your custom and make my own more valuable.

Some day I will line up my entire Bond collection, Dane. I think I have about 17 now (8 are Sideshow).

Regarding JAWS, I'll take the compliment but man do those old figures look deformed to me now. They were made originally about 13 years ago and then updated in 2005 with new heads and a few newer bits. But man... I kind of cringe now seeing that old pic. Thanks for being kind.
