real netting and a great paint job and I would throw down a 100$

I think the real netting and the leather bands are fairly feasible, the loincloth I find difficult, they would have to re-sculpt a big portion of the figure.
However, if they could do it, all the better.
I don't think it would prove that costly to manufacture.

In a figure of the HT type a lot of the cost must derive from all the little molds that must be designed and built to produce all the different types of articulation and the assembly of the bodies. A NECA type figure has a lot less molds and a lot less assembly.

At any rate, the more detail NECA can put into an 18" figure, the better.

Would be a dream:

Neca sculpture is perfect! HT is a good model but it is far from true predator:

Y'know what, to be honest, I'm not sure what you guys are seeing when you say how 'off' the Hot Toys Predator is in his proportions. He's too small obviously and the details of NECAs sculpt are more accurate but the HT body proportions look fine, not a great deal different than NECAs.:dunno

Actually, I do find the proportions odd... the neck seems long, the torso skinny/small... not complaining, I like the figure, it's just that I find it oddly proportioned.

It's a good figure.

But it IS NOT the 'be all, end all' Predator figure that some try to convince themselves that it is.

Question: Has NECA done a Classic Pred 1:6th in Stealth? I know they did one for the AVP Preds. If not, I'll be more interested if they did that one. And hopefully in a much clearer plastic.

You're thinking of McFarlane Toys...NECA has never done a 1:6 Predator.

:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

ONLY the sculpt and scale.

Two of the most important parts of any collectible.

Lol I didn't say "ONLY" sculpt and scale that off, I said "it's" the sculpt and scale thats off. I agree it's a good figure overall and I'd kill to own one but I also agree it's not the be all to end all P1 figure either.

Yeah, :rotfl I just found out from the other thread (the HT vs. NECA one) :rotfl

I do wish NECA would do 1:6th ones, though, alongside 18" ones. They make really good sculpts and I'm sure a lot of 1:6th collectors would benefit as well :D

Yes, if it's as good as the two up.

Is there any difference between P1 predator and classic predator?

Body-wise, no (assuming the Classic Pred you're talking about is the one in the Predators movie?).

From what I remember from the film, Classic Pred sports a somewhat different biomask, no netting and skull trophies. I'll need to watch it again, though, to be sure.

He has got the netting (later on) but no skull trophies, plus a piece of armor on his arm is missing. Body-wise he is a dwarf compared to the original.
