OK someone with twitter SHOULD ask NECA if they mean a 18'' P1 or a 18" Classic from predators because this is getting confusing.

He has got the netting (later on) but no skull trophies, plus a piece of armor on his arm is missing. Body-wise he is a dwarf compared to the original.

:exactly:

The new predator is more stocky. The mask is wider and the "hair" is stretched in proportion! The model of NECA refers to the 1987 original predator (for proportions).

NECA propotions are always great, HOT TOYS propotions are always MEH

I'm in the "No to 19", yes to 1/6 camp."

It's entirely irrational, but above 1/6 size they always start looking like oversize toys to me...

Plus I'm not hugely fond of the NECA Classic's pose. Contrast with McFarlane's 12" Predator, still IMO one of the best representations of the creature.

Yes, nobody can beat this anymore, it´s P.E.R.F.E.C.T.I.O.N

Lord Freezer:

The HT one is superior overall. Again, no contest since 14" >> 7" in terms of detailing and proportions. The smaller the sculpt, the more limitations there are. That's a fact.

It can be argued that NECA's 7" figures are the best in that given scale, but it can never topple 1:6th scale.

flacco:

The one on the left isn't HT. the molded netting is a dead giveaway.

But 1:4th scale topple small 1:6 scale, sry.:lecture
Pred 18" from NECA up to come, he he :nana: :thud:

Yeah, same as statues can topple both figures.

BUT since we don't have the 18" yet, then your argument is moot.

Second, the 18" line of NECA would still cater to a different audience that HT has, and would understandably cut corners to cater to that market.

Who knows? Perhaps the 18" NECA Pred figure will blow us away, but as it stands, currently, HT has the upper hand when it comes to Predators, and in the high-end collector market.

Hot Toys 12" Predator owners seems to be very jealous and afraid that NECA bring us a 18" :rotfl

Seems to me :dunno

Nopes, because nothing's stopping me from buying an 18" figure if I wanted to since I have the means to. But I don't have any interest in 18".

WOW! Some people really like acting like kids :dunno Spilling arguments from one thread to another is actually very immature. Go back to the HT vs NECA thread for these kinds of arguments, kids. You're making j@ck@$$es of yourselves in the wrong thread.

Given that, I'd be interested if NECA produces a 12" Stealth version instead. 18" really isn't my thing.

I wonder out of the 25% that voted against an 18 inch scaled Predator, how many of those voters would instead favor a 12 inch scaled version? I think the overwhelming majority is in favor of some type of larger scale Predator, whether it be 12 or 18 inch scaled. I believe the poll results so far don't necessarily reflect that sentiment accurately hence the roughly 75% for to the 25% against numbers in the polls.

I had two Hot Toys P1 predators (sold them both) and while it looks quite good it also completely looks like a toy. The NECA one would look like a statue in 18".
