OK someone with twitter SHOULD ask NECA if they mean a 18'' P1 or a 18" Classic from predators because this is getting confusing.
He has got the netting (later on) but no skull trophies, plus a piece of armor on his arm is missing. Body-wise he is a dwarf compared to the original.
Will the 12 "or 18" 1987 predator?
Yes, nobody can beat this anymore, it´s P.E.R.F.E.C.T.I.O.N
Lord Freezer:
The HT one is superior overall. Again, no contest since 14" >> 7" in terms of detailing and proportions. The smaller the sculpt, the more limitations there are. That's a fact.
It can be argued that NECA's 7" figures are the best in that given scale, but it can never topple 1:6th scale.
flacco:
The one on the left isn't HT. the molded netting is a dead giveaway.
But 1:4th scale topple small 1:6 scale, sry.
Pred 18" from NECA up to come, he he
Yeah, same as statues can topple both figures.
BUT since we don't have the 18" yet, then your argument is moot.
Second, the 18" line of NECA would still cater to a different audience that HT has, and would understandably cut corners to cater to that market.
Who knows? Perhaps the 18" NECA Pred figure will blow us away, but as it stands, currently, HT has the upper hand when it comes to Predators, and in the high-end collector market.
Hot Toys 12" Predator owners seems to be very jealous and afraid that NECA bring us a 18"

Seems to me
I'd also like the 18 ". 12" is better than nothing!
This 12" prototype is perfect:

Randy confirmed it's the 87 Pred they're considering on Twitter.
