Why are they retreading the X1/X2 dialogue between Eric and Xavier??

Yea, I actually liked that part in the trailer.

Man that X2 trailer was far better than what we just got, in fact, if that X2 trailer came out today it would be the best trailer of the year. I just got all nostalgic watching that :lol

Amazing comparing the look and flow of X2 to the look and flow of X-Men: Apocalypse. They're like completely different animals.

She's fine as wine, I'm sure most of the virgins on this site hating on her would probably shoot a load just getting a glimpse of her in person :lol

Just saw the new trailer. Had to watch it twice because I was surprised at how ambivalent I was to the whole thing. I'm just not seeing anything new to get excited for. As goofy as the 1970's Sentinels looked in DOFP the trailers actually had me pretty pumped to watch the future battle sequences and that stadium dropping. Apocalypse doesn't look like it brings anything new to the table nor does it even match the visuals of prior films. I'll see it, and I'm sure it will be "okay" but...can't say I'm very excited for it.

I just want to see Munn as Psylocke but I see a Captain Phasma expectation and disappointment coming :lecture

Nah, I don't think she's been that hyped up at all when compared to Phasma. She's probably going to have like one like and one action scene, similar to Lady Deathstrike in X2. Hopefully she doesn't die though.

It hurts to say this, but I don't even know if this is going to turn out okay.

I think that's the biggest problem, almost every superhero film this year is doing something new in its franchise, but this seems to be retreading a bunch of stuff we've seen in past films.

Yea, her scenes are going to be pretty rough to get through. I feel like she wasn't in DOFP that much so I was able to enjoy that movie quite a bit, but her leading the X-Men just doesn't sit right with me.

I have a feeling this will underperform and Fox will finally get rid of Singer

I wouldn't mind a new director taking the mantle and focusing on the young team (Sheridan, Turner, etc) and we get a few proper X-Men films.

Well, Singer's next movie is 20,000 Leagues Under the see remake so he might not be able to do the next X-Men film. Even if this movie turns out bad if want him to return though, all of his X-Men films have been great, and people forget he played a huge part in developing First Class. I just think he's trying to make this a more action oriented film and that's not really what he's great at. Vaughn definitely wouldn't come back even though I'd love him to, so I don't know what director they could get that's as good as Singer to take over the series.

We're stuck with it because she probably got the biggest paycheck next to Fassbender and you can blame Social Media and Lawerence's fan base as well.

No way would they have Mystique in charge if it was Rebecca Stamos :pfft:

True, I don't know about her paycheck though, she signed onto these films before the Oscar and Hunger Game movies so I think she's probably not making too much on these films. That's probably why she wants out so bad because the studio is able to leverage her star power while not really paying her nearly what she feels like she deserves. Either way, I pray they don't try to renegotiate and bring her back as Mystique.

Well, at least I have Daredevil to look forward to. Watching that will probably help me forget about that last trailer for about 12 hours or so :lol
