X2 was a million years ago in interweb time, and X-Men plots are pretty straight forward anyway. No real complex villainous schemes that compare to CW or BvS except TDK and TDKR.

Well, that was surprisingly weak. Absolutely understand the lacklustre reviews and empty theaters. A saturday night showing in the biggest screen at the cinema I went to and there was at most 3 rows worth of people if everyone sat beside eachother.

Maybe a Singer-directed X3 would have been no better than the X3 we got going on this evidence. I daresay I prefer The Last Stand.

Bryan Singer's X-Men films are my favorite Marvel movies to date and for me X-Men Apocalypse was right up there with the rest of his. I absolutely loved it. Quicksilver had a scene that was even more amazing than his DOFP scene, and Jean Grey absolutely steals this movie. The only downside as predicted again is Mystique's character being made way too important because of J-Law's popularity. But whatever, Bryan Singer sure knows how to make an ensemble team superhero movie.

Nope, it was way worse than "The Last Stand". :lol

Origins is one of the movies I can enjoy because of how bad it is.
And because Jackman, Schreiber, Kitsch and Durand are awesome. :lecture

"Crapocalypse", like "Da Farce Awakens", is an expensive fan film.
It's First Class, Weapon X, Apocalypse, Phoenix Saga and probably more CB stories rashly and very poorly mixed together.
Outside of Peter's and Logan's scenes it's not fun, drags a lot and feels cheap.

I laughed so hard, almost choked on my popcorn! :lol
The best thing in the entire film for sure, just like with DoFP.

I was pretty disappointed in this film. I'm not a comic book fan and all I know about X-Men has been through all the films. I really enjoyed the original films and DOFP was a great connector between the 2 eras....only problem is this film kind of throws that all out of whack.
Jean unleashes her power as a teen in the 80's yet in the original films she wasn't able to do that until much later. Nightcrawler is already a part of the X-Men, yet we don't see him until X-2 way down the track.

I don't know, I just find it confusing as a casual fan. If they wanted to do a direct prequel of the X-Men films, then why change so much of their history and if they wanted a new direction, then why match it back up with the original films like they did with DoFP?

Anyway as for the film, the ending with Mystique/Quicksilver and Eric seemed so much like the Wolverine/Jean ending in The Last Stand. The Quicksilver scene seemed silly to me in this film. Loved it in DofP, but it was out of place here considering he was stuffing around while the building was exploding...then in the end he didn't save Havoc.

The new Storm was pretty average, Angel and Psylocke were one dimensional baddies. Then there's that lame scene where they find the ship to escape in and there just happens to be enough flight suits that fit them all perfectly lmao. I found it funny that they shoved the fact that Magneto is Quicksilver's father in there, like they had to add it because people made fun over it in DofP.

Jean Grey was right, the 3rd film is the worst lol.

"First Class" was a reboot.
DoFP was a sequel to FC and has nothing to do with the continuity of X1-> X2-> X3-> The Wolverine.
True but the future we saw in DoFP was the future after X3 where Jean and Scott had died, so it was still connected.

Or killed by Sentinels, DoFP never made it clear.
Cuttin' all ties to original trilogy is the most logical option.

P.S. **** FOX and Simon Kinberg! :lecture
