They casted Quicksilver while MS was just considering using him, and Singer confirmed he was in the script since day one.

Scarlet witch isn't in this.

He only said this after deleting his tweet (responding to Joss' announcement that both Witch and Quicksilver would be featured in Avengers 2). My guess is he didn't want to look like too big of a *********.

I don't think things need to be overly complicated here. Bad stuff happens in the future, Wolvie goes back into the past to stop it, and an alternate timeline results from which future films will presumably be based. The audience can certainly understand that. One thing I'm curious about is the history of the Sentinels, though. They didn't exist in the previous X-films, yet they are now created in the '70s by Trask for the explicit purpose of killing mutants. Seems like a pretty big thing to ignore through all the other films (apart from the stupid opening to X3, which as far as I recall didn't reference them as actually existing).

So maybe another way of going about it is--the future we see in the trailer IS the alternate timeline, and has nothing to do with the films we saw previously. Then, the goal is to alter things so that the sequence of events we saw in the previous films actually come to pass. But that would seem kind of anti-climactic.

Sentinel in X3 stupid fan service they can now regret doing.

Nova, just come out and admit it that you wrote Fox a letter saying your dying wish was to see a Sentinel cameo in X3.

Well, the mid-credits sequence in the latest Wolverine movie bridges the existing movie timeline (where Wolverine is mourning the death of Jean in X3) into the events of DoFP. So I don't think the future is an alternate timeline. The scene with
Logan, Magneto and Prof X at the airport with Trask commercials playing on the TV
exists in the timeline that follows after everything we've seen so far in the previous films.

Not what Fox, Singer, Jackman said during press for the movie.

Couldn't make out much, also the footage ends abruptly. That trailer music reminded me of the Man of Steel trailer music, but now that I think of it, it's actually from some other movie and it felt out of place for me.

Zimmer is all over the place it's not even funny.

Ah..I had a feeling it was Hans Zimmer, great track indeed, thanks guys. I have listened to the whole Inception soundtrack several times in the past, but just couldn't place the track this time.

Saw the trailer couple more times, little further excited now. Hope the whole trailer makes it way online soon.
