I don't see how that's any sillier than the Batman costumes, or Thor or Captain America or Superman or the myriad other costumes seen in comic films.

Because there's no logical reason for Wolverine to wear a costume.

Batman's is a symbol, and a disguise. Captain America's is a symbol. Thor is his normal wear, same with Superman.

There's literally NO reason for him to wear a costume other then to be comic book accurate. And that's not a good enough reason.

It looks like Stan Lee does too :lol

As much as I hate to accept this, you are 101% correct. :(

Good thing they would never make a Spiderman movie in that god awful comic book suit, who would believe that someone would be in a bright red and blue costume, why wouldn't Peter Parker just wear a black skimask and sweats to protect his identity, hes not a symbol for Spiders everywhere...his daily clothes aren't silly underroos!

Oh look! Obligatory silly dude dressed up in a costume to show how a Spiderman costume would never work on screen.

But PP is a teenager, of course he would create an outlandish costume to cover his identity.

Logan is an adult, him going out doing the same as a teen = :monkey4

Did you forget your youth already. :lol

And Logan doesn't need a disguise because he doesn't care about his identity. He has no life or family to protect from bad guys. He's a loner. Hell, he tries to avoid any confrontations to begin with, so it's not like he needs a costume to be a symbol for justice or be scary to bad guys. He just wants to be left the F alone. And who needs a costume for that?

In the past movies, yes....but, but, but....he needs to be a symbol to mutants fighting for their lives in the future:dunno

Spider-Man has these powers, wants a new identity, and wants to be a symbol.

Symbols are important to Superheros. Superman is one of the few who just got lucky and got the powers, the symbol, and the costume/disguise in one quick stroke. :lol

Warning: Some potential spoilers for X-Men: Days of Future Past...

We're just under eight months away from the release of X-Men: Days of Future Past and it's shaping up to be the most ambitious X-Men film ever released. This kind of hyperbole isn't lost on the cast as James McAvoy himself thinks it's got a lot of potential.

"There’s an army of brilliant actors in that film," he said in an interview with IGN. "Bryan Singer is back at the helm. Potentially it’s going to be the biggest, most epic X-Men they’ve ever had. I think it’s the second biggest production Fox have ever embarked upon, behind Avatar. So they’re definitely going for it."

McAvoy also spoke about working with the cast, including a scene he shares with Patrick Stewart as the older Charles Xavier.

"His last day was my first day and that was it. Then we were done. But we did crossover and we do get a scene together. Getting to work with Hugh [Jackman] – who I christened Hugo Boss – was great....Getting to work with Michael [Fassbender] again was great. I spent a hell of a lot of time with Nick [Nicholas Hoult]. Weirdly the people that I spent the most time with acting-wise was not Michael this time, it was Hugh and Nick. And whilst I bemoaned the loss of my buddy Michael, it was more than made up for by the fact that Hugh and Nick are such amazing people."

X-Men: Days of Future Past will land in theaters on May 23, 2014.
