How hard would it have been to have just gone with this again (with the superior helmet and maybe a bit lighter threads)?

:exactly: Use the new helmet with that costume and I think it would've looked fine.

If the Sentinels are any good in this movie, armor won't matter from a blast from them.

I expect lameness though. They weren't shown in the trailer at all.

Character has always been good lucking of course, but that character was nothing more than a lackey in the pre-First Class films. Was a bit more in First Class, but she was mostly just being self-conscious in that movie.

Disagreed, while yes she's a henchmen with little dialogue her action has been great and when she did speak it really spoke volumes.

In X1 after revealing herself to the kidapped Gyrich "People like you were the reason i was afraid to go to school as a child"

In X2 when Nightcrawler asks why she doesn't blend in all the time she says "Because we shoudn't have to"

And in X3 her abandonment after serving Magneto for so long was a cold scene

The fact that she just had a few one-liners and a few single scene "moments" reinforces Kara's statement. Pyro had more screentime and character development. :lol

Nothing ever epic about X1 or X2.

Epic is STM/89 Batman/Spiderman 2/TDK/Avengers

Shame on you.

X2 has a pretty epic Nightcrawler intro . . . and X Mansion raid with Wolverine going berserk . . . and humans hnnnnggging because Magneto f'ed with cereBro . . . and that gruesome fight with Lady Deathstrike and the claws . . . and Magneto killing all those soldiers by unpinning those grenades (I thought that was clever) . . . and the Alkali Lake fight . . . and, and, and.

It's a case of quality over quantity for me. Tons of characters have talked more and done more than Mystique, but few have said as much.

Mystique is essentially the poster child for the theme of the franchise.

Loved that scene :lol

X-Men movies are boring.

Some people view big action spectacle blockbusters to be boring and movies about interpersonal relations and themes to be entertaining.

Others view character movies to be boring and big action CGI porn to be entertaining.

Just depends on preference.

89 Batman isn't epic. there's nothing big scale about it

Argument invalid.

All the Batman movies are epic because Batman in general is epic. Every Batman movie is better than other superhero movies (even Batman and Robin and TDKR) based on it having Batman alone.

Batman: The Movie - Epic (Batman vs. Sharks bro)

Batman '89 - Epic (Batman vs. Joker bro)

Batman Returns - Epic (Batman vs. sexually perverted Sewer Moses bro)

Batman Forever - Epic (Batman vs. Jim Carrey on crack bro)

Batman and Robin - Epic (Batman vs. Terminator bro)

Batman Begins - Epic (Batman vs. Liam Neeson bro)

The Dark Knight - Epic (Batman vs. Joker bro)

TDKR - Epic (Batman vs. da masked man + Michael Bay destruction bro)

I correlate with scale. Because that's what the word means. And even then, X-Men changed the industry. It was the next logical jump from Blade.

I agree with the Nightcrawler scene. :rotfl
