Scale? Elfman's score is more grandiose than anything in X-Men. Even naked Mystique.

Those detailed matte painting of Gotham > Studio built Statue of Liberty.

As far as icons are concerned, Batman and Joker alone are much larger than the X-team vs. the Brotherhoodz. The Batwing/C'mon gruesom son of a ***** scene might lack logic, but it's the most epic thing evar.

Don't even get me started about the helicopter scene with Lois in STM, or Chris Reeve Supes in general.

I correlate "epic" as an overused phrase that 13 year olds use to describe their favorite movies.

89 is a great flick but i don't see it as large scale :peace:

Still don't see how you don't see it as "large scale." Unlike the X-Men films, they had real sets (not green screens), used miniatures, had an actual functioning Batmobile, all practical effects, etc. The merchandising machine was a complete monster, covering everything from shoelaces, and chonies, to cereal, toys, clothing, X-mas ornaments, etc. Bottom line, you weren't there. You don't know. As a matter of fact, as someone who's been there for both Batman 1989 and the first X-Men movie, I can tell you Batman's hype and delivery made X-Men look like a high-school film class project.

Disagreed, while yes she's a henchmen with little dialogue her action has been great and when she did speak it really spoke volumes.

In X1 after revealing herself to the kidapped Gyrich "People like you were the reason i was afraid to go to school as a child"

In X2 when Nightcrawler asks why she doesn't blend in all the time she says "Because we shoudn't have to"

And in X3 her abandonment after serving Magneto for so long was a cold scene
Agreed. I've always loved Mystique in the movies except for First Class.

Very intimidating yet understandable character with a fantastic design.

It was epic in real life. The bat symbol was everywhere, the hype was almost Star Wars level. "Epic" in this case just means huge undeniable triumph.
