Really? Then what happened to Yukio? I always thought they went traveling doing something and then the after credits scene took place sometime after that.

I just read something saying it takes place 2 years after Japan.

thats a possibility. Theres 10 years from the end of x-3 to the beginning of DofP (according to Singer), so its various parts somehow just fit into that mold.

Yea I think James Mangold or Singer confirmed it takes place 2 years after the Wolverine.

To be honest, I wouldn’t mind if these two left. Other actors played their characters a lot better in my opinion.

To be honest, I wouldn’t mind if these two left. Other actors played their characters a lot better in my opinion.

Well, I have never liked Nicholas Hoult, and in X3 it is implied that Beast is returning to the X-Men after a long absence, so him leaving the franchise makes sense and is perfectly fine with me!

However, I thought Lawrence played a young Raven very well.

I really didn’t like her in the role. I thought she was terrible. I do think that will change in DOFP though, but so far from what she has done in the role, she has not topped Rebecca’s Mystique.

Not cool to announce to the world the movie before telling the actors. Sure they're contracted, but they've got other stuff going on so best to organise dates and so on together, they are afterall trying to build a bigger and presumably long franchise, keeping the actors in your good book is essential for that.

Particularly Lawrence as she is an asset for them right now, she's currently the hottest female actress in hollywood.

I thought it was a safe assumption that Apocalypse would take place after future past so why would Mystique look like Jennifer Lawrence 10+ years after x3?

Sure they're contracted, but they've got other stuff going on so best to organise dates and so on together, they are afterall trying to build a bigger and presumably long franchise, keeping the actors in your good book is essential for that.

Yep, does seem like a stupid way to let your cast (not) know whats going on, but I'm with the majority of them, don't care who they blue up, so they can leave... won't injure the franchise anyways.

She might be, but I found her Young Raven to be one of the weakest parts of First Class, along with young Beast, where Rebecca Romijn and Kelsey Grammar were some of the best parts of the original trilogy.

Both young Mystique and Beast are easily replaceable in my eyes. I think Lawrence is a serviceable but overrated actress. Beast was fine as well, but didn't seem like such an essential actor for the role as, say, Stewart was for those previous X-films, or Fassbender now is for Magneto.
