While watching this movie all I thought about was how the retcon was going to happen. :lol

So, was this movie really made for us or for the studio to clean up their mess. :lol

Also, for you comic X-Men fans who saw the movie...
Did anyone, other than me, think, for a brief moment, that they might throw a total curveball and have the history be rewritten into a "House of M" style timeline? When Magneto attacked and put out his call to the mutants, for a brief moment, I thought "holy ****, are they actually going there?"

I was thinking the same exact thing!

Both, everybody wins.

There's a part of me that would've appreciated the sheer audacity of such an act, but I loved the ending, as it was.

Regarding a character cameo..

So the little boy at the beginning and end of the film with brown and white hair... that was X-MAN right?

So, are you referring to Jye's post or mine? Because we're kind of talking about two different things.:lol

I messed up the multi-quote haha, "both wins" was in response to Jye, I responded to you, I was thinking the same exact thing at the scene, looked like they ripped that scene straight out of House of M. I'd love to see that adapted into live action someday.

It'd be awesome if that was like an "alternate ending" on the Blu-Ray. Logan wakes up and sees a world where Magneto rules everything. Then he just says "****," and the credits roll.:lol

Saw it last night, and really enjoyed it.

Wolverine didn't seem like the main focus like some of the word on the film suggested. I felt it was more of an ensemble which is what I was hoping for. Also, he pretty much gets owned in the climax which was surprising.

Quicksilver was the coolest thing about the film, in my opinion. Shame they didn't keep him around.

The Action was a tad underwhelming, especially the battle at the White House. I really wanted to see Wolverine Vs. Sentinel action to the 11th degree!

That end credits scene was interesting. I know who it was, but there's a lot of people in the theatre going "Who the hell is that?" Should be an interesting movie in two years. I'm glad Synger is doing it, unless his legal troubles prevent him from doing it.

Fassneto is no doubt badass in this. The stadium scene is highly memorable but the highlight for me is when
he decided to kill Mystique
. It really shows his commitment to the mutant cause and is willing to do everything to protect mutants. He is really Yin to Xavier's Yang. Both devoted to the same cause but goes about it very different.

Something I love about the film: Wolverine is totally you or I. He's the audience's representation in the film. He knows all the stuff that went down before everything changed, and he appreciates just how ****** some of it is. In a lot of ways, the importance of the previous films hinges solely on Wolverine's memories.

I agree. The sequence was really cool. My only issue was with the Sentinels in that scene, but I'll see the film again and see if it still bothers me.

I sorta thought it was cool but too bad they were titans. I don't think wolverine sans Adamantium could have done anything.

Lol@This thread.

Had high hopes for Fassbender in this and it sounds like it did not disappoint. Haven't even seen this yet and I'm already thinking 'damn you Hot Toys, he better get a fig' :lol

The movie does a good job of building up the suspense, its very well paced

I just wish there was one set piece that made it uber bad ass, the QS scene was the closest it came to that.

The future Sentinels didn't work for me, they were black Mystique's. :lol

Either way, 2014 has been awesome so far.
