Adan Canto, best known for playing Paul Torres on FOX's The Following, has joined the cast of X-Men: Days of Future Past.

The news was revealed by -- who else? -- director Bryan Singer, who included Canto in a photo taken at a Montreal Canadians hockey game, featuring himself, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, and Shawn Ashmore. Canto confirmed his involvement in a follow-up tweet.

No additional details were given about Canto's part, though in a separate Twitter exchange with a fan about future projects, the actor said, "I might turn into a ball of fire if someone pisses me off." Hmm...

I guess I'm an X-Men snob. I fell in love with the X-Men when reading the Claremont/Byrne run, so that's pretty much my favorite X-Men team of all time. I didn't mind when Rogue came along, but never did come around to Jubiliee. I have a hard time accepting other Marvel characters on the team.

Great news about bishop, I was wondering if he'd show up. I always preferred cable with regards to time travel storylines but bishop fit into this story so well when the animated show adapted it. Really excited for this film.
