Are you really bragging about the job Joe Johnston did with TFA? :lol Alternate Universe Buck Rogers vs the Laser Moon Nazis was a fun kid's flick and all...

Bragging? I'm not bragging. :lol :rolleyes2

Just pointing out to ol' Spartan that he was wrong and he knows that he had to eat crow. :wave

TFA was a solid movie. It's not going to set the world on fire but its pretty damn enjoyable.

Agreed.

Spartan is still trying to finish that plate of crow for being wrong in every way about Cap. :lol

Lemme get this right..
I'm eating crow over TFA because you and Darth Snoopys low expectations were met? Let's face it you guys would've called it a success if they had taken an old Mego Capt America figure and filmed the whole thing using stop motion, fan boys that you are.
It was a success in the sense that it was better than Hollywoods previous attempts at the character but thats not saying much.
Johnstons final edit was serviceable given the script and his leading man.
RDJ, Hemsworth and Hiddleston are casting homeruns while Evans is a ground rule double.

I'll also add that I just saw The Wolfman and thought Joe did ok with that.

So when are you and Snoopy going to come out and make it official?
With the laws now a days you guys could even adopt that emoticon spamming jye4ever.

I get insulted all day by inner city kids. Your lame attempt needs to be better. I have higher expectations when people are going to bump their gums.:nana:

Really too bad, I was excited when I first heard the casting because he seems to love comic book roles and I've liked him in each role. Being the 5th comic book character hes portrayed, I expected much more as well, but I think its the flattest he has done out of all the roles. Maybe Cap just isn't his bag.

5th character or 5th movie?

2 movies as Johnny Storm
1 movie as Lucas Lee in Scott Pilgrim (do we need to count that one?)
2 movies as Cap

You might get away with him being the voice actor for Casey Jones, but I'm pretty sure "Mr. Softee" doesn't count.

Overall, I was surprised they decided to go with him after the two FF movies but he put in a decent performance in TFA. Avengers was a tough transition for the character with Nick Fury roping him in like a rodeo clown to get the party started. The attempt to make him a leader on the ground felt forced at times and the costume was a mixed bag. I know I said this before in the WS thread but I'd like to see him step it up for his next appearance.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, I was speaking only of live action movies, if you include his voicing of Casey Jones, then hes played 6 comic book characters; 8th "live action" comic book movie he has been in once Cap 2 rolls out, I just assumed hes a huge nerd, cause otherwise thats alot of coincidence of repeated casting in those roles. Johnny Storm, Nick Gant, Lucas Lee, Jensen, and Steve Rogers.

Wasn't there one already?

Actually in the deleted scene they kissed so that was the real trigger that made Rouge take the cure.

So I guess this will pick up were that last movie left off I knew they would have a love triangle considering that Jean and Scott are no longer in the movie.

So it's looking like the costumes are individual to each character rather than the uniform look of previous movies,

Though i'd like to see more colurful costumes in future, it wouldn't make much sense to be wearing them in a bleak desolate future where they're being hunted :D
