Neither of these movies need more characters. Prepare for the inevitable return to campy nonsensical unbelievable **** for comic films post Man of Steel.

And honestly should Marvel be concerned about this at **** all considering the only person they have locked into Avengers 2 is Scarlett?

So far as I'm concerned at this point, until they lock down their actors, Marvel has no future, no phase 2.

I remember my idea for First Class 2 which dealt with Pietro and Wanda.

Magneto relented to Charles views from a feel of guilt over causing his crippliing and returns to Xaviers team to try for Muant/Human co-existing. He falls for a human women who is murdered while pregnant by anti-Mutant extremists which sends him into an ireversable distain for humankind.

The children are revealed to have survived after an emergency C-Section but obviously were kept away from Magneto as he is thought of as an extremist. Years later in the X1-X3 timeline they are revealed to be teenage mutant runaways.

Avengere & IM3's use of comic bookyness & comedy and big success is what will lead CBM's back to B&R campiness imo.

As for X-Men they have always had a huge cast of characters. Have dealt with the race as a whole in recent years.

X2 had 11 characters and was balanced excellently, i have no worries on that front

Nothing about that works in live action.

Nothing about the skull belt. the rest of it is fine. swap the skull belt for a white belt, or a black one to break the costume up some, and give it a skull belt buckle as a nod. Works fine.

That said, Even in the comics, her white costume is made from her body.
Mystique is ALLWAYS naked. So movie version works fine too :lol

Hmm. . .Puck maybe?

Another reason this movie will likely suck.
Singer keeps adding characters not in the original story.
He was around during the early issues of the comic. It actually makes more sense to have him involved than some of the other characters from previous films. Or something like making Black Widow a founding Avenger.

I'm talking about TDoFP story as it originally appeared in the comic.

When I saw that pic of Dinklage a while ago I thought Puck as well.
Puck also has the stache and beanie thing going on.

Well we already know that's out the window since they are shoehorning in everyone from the previous films. I'm only expecting some small nods to the original story. Would make sense that Quicksilver would be a member of the "Brotherhood" who would attempt to assassinate the equivalent of Robert Kelly.

It makes sense if youre Singer and don't give a ***** about the source material.

The only 100% accurate CBM I can think of is Sin City, and that probably has changes :lol

They are called adaptions after all, things change in them to work better onscreen or to work with the filmmakers interpretation

Like Whedon did by making Black Widow (without Russian accent) and Hawkeye (without purple costume or mask) founding members of The Avengers

:nana:

Whedon has earned the right for creative license as he also had a stint as a comic writer and now has a billion dollar hit under his belt.
What's Singers excuse?

No single comic film adheres as closely to the comics as you seem to be suggesting. Watchmen is probably the closest. Original Superman, Burton Bats, Nolan Bats, Iron Man, Thor, Spider-Man, you name it. Sticking in a classic X-Men villain into this story is certainly not something I'm going to complain about. Better than him creating another new one.

Technically since most of the Marvel film Universe is based on the Marvel ultimate universe they were founding members. And other than Hawkeye being bald in that one he dressed just like that.

And I guess ScarJo couldn't be bothered to pull off the Russian accent.

Singer is as responsible for the wave of serious comic movies in the 2000s+ as anyone else due to his work in X-Men. I give him much more credit for influencing comic films than Whedon honestly, but putting that aside, I think one filmmaker has as much right as another to take some liberties. For me, it's a question of how much is too much. I think Singer et al. did go too far with First Class, but they didn't have much of a choice considering he wanted to do a '60s period piece and the previous films had original members of the team active as of the '2000s or whatever.

All filmakers have the right to do whatever they want with these movies. They are movies. Not comic books. They have no connection whatsoever other then in name only.

All this nerdy **** doesn't mean anything if the film is actually good.
