But just wait for next summer! The Avengers (epic on so many levels) and the Dark Knight Rises (the final chapter of Nolan's epic trilogy)! :drool Those two films alone could possibly outshine this summer, which is indeed incredible.

Those two films have a chance plus I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple others that are coming out during the summer. Plus late next year you get part 1 of The Hobbit.

I agree January is hot!!! Hell she's one of the only reasons I'll end up watching this movie.

It's funny you should say that because I feel like I'm going to watch First Class despite January Jones. I watched this clip and instantly thought "Yep, that's Betty Draper".

Hopefully she doesn't have too many scenes.

I've never really watched Mad Men so I wouldn't know. I'll admit though I kinda wish they would have given her an English accent.

January Jones = meh for me. I like Rose Byrne and Jennfier Lawrence a lot more.

I'm also not really into the character of Emma Frost and never really have been.

Seeing the history between Magneto and Xavier is what hooked me on this film.

Looking forward to Friday. :rock This movie has really shaped up, IMO.

Hoping to find a midnight show Thursday, but no such luck yet.

Edit: Just found one. Thursday night, it is....hopefully. :lol

What are you saying man? She looks gorgeous in that vid :lol:lol Love her!

I just came back from seeing this and I loved it!

I have to say though, that I never read any X-Men comics, and pretty much all knowledge I have about them comes from the animated show from the 90s and the other films. So I'm not quite sure how much they used from the actual character backgrounds and how much they made up...

Anyway, I had a great time watching this! It was fairly realistic, with some great action and lots of awesome characters.

Both Michael Fassbender as well as James McAvoy gave some awesome performances and it really felt like their characters were their own.
I was (fairly) unfamiliar with a lot of other characters but they were great as well.

Wolverine's cameo was freaking hilarious! He was just awesome!

There are 2 very minor gripes I have... they are not even real complaints, but I guess I just hoped to see them a bit different...

1:
Beast, he looks awesome during the Blackbird scenes, but sometimes his make up looks a bit like 80s monstermovie kinda stuff... not bad, but could be better...

2:
Magneto's red helmet and suit at the end... The view from behind, like we see in the trailer looks awesome. The frontside is kinda meh... a bit bland actually. Plus the helmet has purple on it like in the comics which looks a bit out of place.

Like I said, just 2 minor gripes mostly because of some expectations I had. Overall I think this might be my favourite X-Men film so far!

A 9/10 for me! :rock :rock :rock

Reviews right now are STELLAR for this movie! I'm quite surprised it is well done and acted and good script. This could very well be the best comic book movie of the summer, at this point.

I'm honestly surprised by all of the great reviews. When I first heard about the idea, I thought it was OK. Then I saw the first trailer with the "Before he was Professor X" crappy lines and instantly thought this was a mega-bomb. Glad to see I was wrong. I'm definately going to check it out this weekend :rock

The way these reviews are sounding, a lot of us are going to be eating crow this Friday. I'll happily take a double-serving of crow if I get another good X-Men movie out of the deal.

I'm just having trouble with the concept that Fox didn't fail for once. :lol

Head....going.....to....EXPL....OOODDDDDDEEEEE!!!! :explode:
