I just read this:

Rose Byrne stripped down to her lingerie in the Hellfire Club

I have a major jonesin for this girl. This is worth the price of the ticket alone.

What are you saying man? She looks gorgeous in that vid :lol:lol Love her!

He's saying she is playing Emma Frost the same way she plays Betty Draper on Mad Men.

What Wofford said. I've always found her character on Mad Men irritating and I attribute most of it to Mrs. Jones's performance. Seeing and hearing her in First Class does nothing but remind me of that. Also, she blinks about a dozen times in the span of 12 seconds in that clip I posted.

Shouldn't Emma Frost be more sultry, a bit intimidating? More Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct, less valley girl?

The film was great. There was not one bad character in this, but the stand out was Magneto. Fassbender gave the film an edge, much like Jackman did in the first two X-Men. A great character driven movie, with a good plot, and exciting action. The only thing I would say let it down a bit, was that it had to cram in a lot of introduction of new characters, and the storyline did not completely marry up with the first two movies. However thanks to X-Men last stand the whole story became a mess, and if anything this was a slight reboot, so it felt very fresh.
Check out the Wolverine Cameo, it was really funny

Just got back from First Class and I have to say....I'm speechless.

THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE AN X-MEN MOVIE. PERIOD.

It blows the doors off every X-Men movie to date, and I'll even goes as far as saying it might be in the running for the BEST Marvel movie to date. Why? Any time you can balance that many main characters that well, you've earned my applause. First Class is the first Marvel movie to do that, IMO.

Some may not like the continuity issues or the correctness of it according to the Marvel Universe, but that stuff doesn't bother me in the slightest, especially when you execute a franchise like this, to this degree.

I can't praise it enough. If you were on the fence, don't be. WELL worth the money. You won't regret it.

I hope to see more from this series in the future. Nice job, Fox. (Finally.)

On a side note, my favorite moment....

LOGAN!!!!!!!!

One last thing: McAvoy and Fassbender - You could not have casted a better Xavier and Erik.

Glad to hear some good reviews starting to come in.
I'll be seeing this in about 3 hours...:yess: Can't wait...:impatient:

Just got in from see this and wow! Could not agree more about McAvoy and Fassbender. They along with Jennifer Lawrence stole the show. Some nice spots in there that I hope people won't spoil. As a huge Emma Frost fan, I was worried about January Jones in the role.....but she was cold and it worked just fine by me. If this doesn't get a sequel, for shame.

9.75/10 from me.

Couldn't agree more about Lawrence. Great, GREAT job on her behalf. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of her in the future. She's got a bright future. (She's already been nominated for an Academy Award, so that last statement probably goes without saying. :lol)

And Jones did an exceptional job as well.

Best X-Men movie to date IMO and more enjoyable than Thor. Some great casting on Magneto, Prof X and Mystique. The guy playing Beast also turned in a good performance.

With everything to like in this movie including some nice cameos it was Magneto who stole the show. The character finally rocked in this movie.

8.5/10

Not sure how i forgot Kevin Bacon. Probably his best performance in a good few years. Excellent casting.

Best Marvel movie....period. I'm in love with this movie. Everything about it was just ____ing cool. It oozed cool. And class.

It had action, and character development! HOLY ____ FOX...they did it!

I want a Magneto helmet replica NOW!!!! Any news on something of this nature being developed?

Just a heads-up - the TIME Magazine review spoils what sounds like a great moment for fans. Thanks, "real" journalist. :wave

I was wondering when someone was gonna give Kevin Bacon some love. I was curious how he would pull off Sebastian Shaw....and he did not disappoint.

Glad I went to see a midnight showing, but getting up for work 3 hours later sucks ballz.:rotfl

I've had alot of reservations about this movie and I was gonna wait till it hit OnDemand or something but hearing such good reviews from fellow Freaks makes me think I may give this a chance in theaters.
