New Payment scheme for Sentinel vs Xmen Diorama. :goodpost:

We are pleased to announce a new Payment scheme for Sentinel vs Xmen Diorama. After much feedback and inputs from collectors, especially at the STGCC event, we understand there are many cool stuff to buy so in order to help collectors spread out their budget planning, the new plan will be Deposit of SGD500, followed by another 9 monthly payments of SGD500. The final SGD1,000 balance will only be billed when the set is ready to ship. We hope this new payment plan will make it easier for collectors to own this epic diorama work of art! Kindly note that there is a 3 month limit of any delays in payment. E.g. if a customer missed the monthly payment for more than 3 months, the order will be cancelled and amount paid till date will not be refunded. If the customer missed installments for X months, the accumulative total should be paid in the next payment.

Definitely a much better plan. Hmmm ......

Is there supposed to be a Set B with different characters?

If there is, does the Set B use the same sentinel as Set A so you could just interchange characters?

Yes, there will be a Set B.

Just a side note .... when this all started, the Sentinel vs Colossus Dio was considered Set B. Now people refer to it as Set A.

No, the sentinel in Set B will be in a different pose. So you may not be able to swap characters between sets.

These were the characters Disney let them use. Unless Disney changes their mind there probably won't be a Set B with the A List X-Men characters.

Haven't heard any official announcement from XM that the other set was abandoned ...unless I missed it. So I wouldn't assume anything until then.

They pretty much said this will be the only set and these were the only characters that they were allowed to do. They have left it open for the future that it's possibly they could create switch out pieces for people who have bought the diorama, but they wouldn't be for sale to anyone who didn't.

Where you heard it?

Keep in mind this was delayed for at least two years due in large part to the Disney/Marvel/Fox feud. I think that probably had a lot to do with the character limitation. Disney/Marvel has no interest in doing Fox any favors. So they are keeping the heavy hitters off the table. Scott, Jean and Storm are mainstays in the X-Movies. Wolverine is not only a star of those movies, but also in the standalone trilogy. Then Gambit was probably pulled due to the upcoming, oft-delayed, probably never going to happen movie. And Rogue just because.
So instead you get this lineup. Archangel and Psylocke were only in the new movie and X3 (where they were pretty poorly handled--at least I think that was supposed to be Psylocke in X3). Even though Beast was in X3, XFC, DoFP and X:A he's still not exactly a breakout screen character. Jubilee was a blink-and-you'll-miss-her cameo in either X1 or X2, and only had a couple of lines in X:A plus a scene that ended up on the cutting room floor. And Bishop has never been in an X-Movie.

I've never heard that they were going to scrap the other set. However I think whether or not there will be a second diorama will depend mostly on two things. 1) if there is a thawing of relations or some kind of an agreement with Dis-Mar and Fox (maybe Fantastic Four/Silver Surfer reverting back), and 2) how well this set sells. If they sell a boatload of Sentinel v B-string X-Men, Sentinel v. A-string will be a no-brainer.
However I would also be fine with them just producing individual X-Men on Sentinel themed basis that could swap out or display as standalones (sure it's similar to Koto but so what). It would be cheaper for one thing, plus they could do more than just the main six characters--Cyclops, Jean, Storm, Wolverine, Gambit and Rogue--but also Iceman, Nightcrawler, Havok, Polaris, Professor X, Magneto, Juggernaut, etc.

I think the target of collectors is the same people who buy life size statues. That's the price point and amount of space needed for this piece... just because it's scaled in 1:6 doesn't mean it's aimed towards 1:6 collectors (who are in the exact opposite curve: low prices and minimum space required).
Now if they made this to be both a diorama and sold the standalone 1:6 characters, they could have tapped in both markets... would have been much better imho.

Great point! I was thinking if i could afford it. How the hell am i gonna display it.

Ideally, if they were to produce the A-List, set B characters, it would be smart to sell them as standalone pieces (each with their own base) so that they could also be interchangeable with the characters on the diorama.

Oh Wow Negasonic Teenage Warhead! She would have been a better choice than Jubilee to be in that display.
