Confirmed by Narin that it's 1/4, but just like you indicated, they're different in size when compared to humans anyway.
Still... this one appears to be larger than other 1/4 Predators I've seen, but what I'm NOT going to do is argue with what the sculptor says. LOL!

This case is closed. :)

There was some discussion about this on Statue Forum too, as a few folks there are also thinking this looks too big to be 1:4.

I think Narin may be taking the "official" line when stating publicly that this is 1:4.

However, I have almost every Predator sculpt he has ever released, and his 1:6 pieces are often very close to 1:5.

So, can't say for sure until someone puts a ruler next to this beastie, but EVERYTHING about this (pics next to peoples heads, apparent size next to the Hulkbuster etc.) indicates it is at least somewhere between 1:4 and 1:3 - likely closer to 1:3.

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter to me (or lots of us I'm sure), but I guess folks were curious given this is the first from the XM Predator/Alien line.

well, being close to 1/3, I'd say without a worldwide license on this one, there's no way most of us US folks could afford the shipping on it from Singapore. Ghost Rider will be small compared to this guy. Shipping could easily be $1k alone coming from over there :(.

^^ Not only that but another question of how to get it home, unless you're there to receive which means a day off from work. This takes box storage to another lvl. GR just barely fit in my car when I picked it up from Fed-ex @ just over 70lbs. I'd need to borrow a vehicle or rent a truck or van.

well, as a 1:3 ECC collector, I have an idea how big the box would be. I used to have the CM Pred, so it shouldn't be any bigger than that, but that was a massive box, too big for even my long arms to get around to lift by myself. I hope some of you guys that can afford this don't have 2nd story apartments lol. I hella want this piece. Anyone remember how much Darkness was shipping wise? I think that was the only worldwide license they have gotten so far?

Shipping? I won't worry much. There is Colossus & friends vs. Sentinel diorama ($4XXX or something) in the con that have me worried about how XM will ship it. That thing is GIGANTIC, like, 1.8 * 1 meter long I guess.
About this piece, if it's truly 1/4 like sculptor said... well, to compare it to other Preds from SS then I could say he's a bulkier Preds from Paul Anderson's first AVP universe. Perhaps this is Celtic Predator hunting humans with his dad (so he have permission to carry that plasma caster) on game preserved planet?

Anyway, I'm waiting to see what XM will do with Preds license in the future. Especially P2 or Wolf.

This collecting hobby is gonna get a hole lot more expensive. Might be time to start working more overtime 😀😀😀

This hobby is already expensive. It's nice to see "other things" now available that weren't years ago. With limited availability it'll just drive the price up for multiple reasons. I like that this isn't movie based, by a recognized artist that lends maybe a bit more creativity with one of the top companies in the game currently. Makes this piece really attractive in a lot of ways.

Good god. That detail is crazy and XM's attention to detail on paint, at least in my experience, is exceptional. I'll know for sure when we see the final, but I'm pretty sure a kidney is going on eBay for this guy. If it's as good as I think it's going to be, there's no way in hell I'm passing this one up.

No movie or comic, they just said to Narin do the best Predator you can. Narin said there are many switchout parts incoming, an helmet head too.

Unless you give extra points for size (ooh-err nurse) this is certainly not the best Narin has ever done (although YMMV) - there are plenty of Garage Kits he has released in the past that are superior sculpts to this (IMO - I know - it's subjective :) ).

This one harkens back to a smaller sculpt he did back in 2005 in 1:6 scale (see below). I actually prefer the look of the smaller one - but the extra size and the swap-outs will make the new one a "don't dare miss" as well.
