Apparently XM does not want these pictures out yet.
I just received these images from a friend:

It's on internet, not much can be done after that... how many reposts have been done already...I just received these images from a friend:

Most usually go up in arms about missing on leaked photos or footages from major movies and products before release, and then bash the companies who try to take them down. So seeing on the forums how everyone's (most probably ones who share the same pool) reacting in an "overprotective" manner about it is silly, IMHO. As some have pointed out, this is the Internet age, once it's up there it's up there. So own up, learn from it -- next time be more meticulous, and call it a day. Remember, any publicity is good publicity.
And since we're all here to share our common passion and interests together, I think posting a CGA resolution with 1-bit monochrome (as used in ancient times for viewing on compact Macintoshes, Atari ST, etc.) would be OK for those who missed it, at least the ST duo.

There is a fundamental difference between this is leaked movie photos. With a leaked movie photo, the leak doesn't threaten the production of the movie. A movie won't lose their ability to make a movie if there is a leak. The person responsible for the leak will just lose his job (and potentially get sued for breaking an NDA). When it comes to something like this, XM's license with Disney could be threatened if they are seen to allow leaks that are explicitly forbidden. So for a movie leak, the person doing the leaking is only putting himself in danger. Here, the person doing the leak is putting the company in danger as well.
These pics can't be that bad...I hope to find them tonight...
On the other hand though the Stormtrooper pair which will have switch out Han and Luke head sculpts are definitely interesting.
Are we exaggerating much? The thoughts made weren't exclusive to movies, but also products -- whether 1st tier or their respective 3rd party accessories, i.e. cases for a brand new not announced iPhone, etc.. These things always happen and will continue to happen, and when they do, it's business as usual thereafter. But thank you for sharing your point of view.
Where do you think I am exaggerating? iPhone cases aren't licensed in the same way statues and merchandise of this kind are. Again, fundamentally different. It's all contracts and when you breach the terms of a contract you put that contract at risk. there's nothing exaggerated about that.
By that logic, and that scenario, the RS Forums, being a prominent community platform that's listed on StarWars.com should have already been the cause for voiding XM's contract and booting XM out of SW licenses/offerings. Deeming this as a "fundamentally different" is a sample of exaggeration in itself; I've been both on the receiving and issuing ends of corp. contracts and even licenses, and in situations similar to this, the worst could happen is a slap on the wrist. The only ones making a fuss about this and blowing it out of proportion are the entities who have referral/sale affiliations with those studios, and are worried about their own relationships re: gains/profits.
