How u guys now already the details about the joints etc of the Vader statue?? Who saw it? Any pictures?

Seems that XM probably should spend less time running around the forums trying to cover up what's already been leaked, and more time trying to prevent the leaks from taking place in the first place. Those are the people they actually have some control over. Random forum members who haven't signed any NDA or anything, not so much.

We weren't allowed to take pics of it at STGCC but yes I've seen it. And yes it's a Ani Anakin Vader set with 3 different bases. I didn't see any joints, and since it was an uncoloured prototype I don't know how the colors will blend either, but as far as I remember I don't remember seeing joints on the base. You just put them close together lol. Looks decent enough that way.

Why having a trio of Ani, Anakin and Vader in the first place? Why not make Vader and if it sells, try to find out if there are people interested in the other 2?

Trust me you'll want the Vader to anchor the other two. Can't wait for the fully painted reveal. The Vader pose while similar to SS is more forceful and delivers what the SS piece lacks. Not to mention it's got a nicer base.

XM released a statement saying preorders for this Vader, together with Boba Venom and Ghost Rider, were sold out by Day 2 11am. So I guess it was popular enough after all.

You're right. That was run-off from the other conversation I was having. I agree with what you said mostly, except for the suggestion that they either A) weren't also dealing with the problem internally or B) couldn't do both equally.

Yeah. That was me at first also. But then the whole first six episodes were about Ani/Anakin/Vader. So I thought you should actually get this as the core of the Star Warsyth anyway. Also the Hot Toys Vader kinda sucks if you're comparing it to a statue. As a figure it works, but in what I assume is the best pose coz Hot Toys did it for their booth. It sucks.


The XM Vader had a similar pose and base by the way, just that the sculpt is infinitely better than this. Just the cape alone is worth it IMO..

Depending how Hot Toys' Vader cape turns out, I might get Hot Toys' just to replace my PF Vader's cape with it, because to me the PF cape is too puffy/bulky.

None of these statues are even on the official XM website yet, so OBVIOUSLY they're not entirely sold out. Just those released for the con.
