No reason you shouldn't, they nailed the MK XLII. That looked great.

I hardly ever put the lights on any of my statues. I'm always scared that if the light dies it will kill the value if i ever have to sell. :lol

Not only is it ultimately true, but it seems so silly, cuz if everyone's just keeping the lights off to "maintain value" no one will ever turn them on. Lol. Guess it's just better to leave them out and focus on paint app and better materials.

Its best if they don't put lights in these statues unless they figure out a way to make it serviceable by the consumer. I think people who want light up features and the ones incapable of thinking beyond the current day. Short attentive span people who are incapable to thinking of what will happen tomorrow when the lights stop working.

That's a broad categorization, to say that people wanting light-ups are short sighted or impulsive.

Who says these collectibles have to be enjoyed for decades? If some wants to have the maximum enjoyment knowing it will only last 2-3 years, so what? Even if lights stop working, doesn't mean they will sell. I'd bet a non-working SSC IM or WM Comq can still pull in at least their original price today. So if the collector got to enjoy them for the last 4-5 yrs and still recoup the initial investment, what's wrong with that?

It'd be cool if there was a plug in option for statues with light features though.

If I shell out for a statue I am thinking of having is for a long time. A couple of years is not a long time. My problem with light up features is the people who push for them never seem to push for them to be designed in a way that the lights and wires e.t.c. can be accessed to be replaced if need be.

If lights stop working then just enjoy the statue without lights. I see nothing wrong or short sighted with that.

They do need to make the light ups with top quality materials plus if they end up not working you should be able to replace them

Having a defective product isn't enjoyable to some people.

You are missing the context, the post I quoted was from a person that doesn't want the light up feature, so Why would they care if the lights don't work?
