You are missing the context, the post I quoted was from a person that doesn't want the light up feature, so Why would they care if the lights don't work?

i think they would care if they had brought a broken product lol.You are missing the context, the post I quoted was from a person that doesn't want the light up feature, so Why would they care if the lights don't work?

The answer remains the same - the person does not want to own a defective product. What's the confusion?
There's no confusion. You want something without light, and you end up getting it with the light and it stopped working after a year, so you end up with exactly what you wanted in the beginning. You would keep saying its defective but you actually wanted a defective product in the beginning.

So if the company offers the exact same statue in two versions, one w/ lights, one w/o lights, same price, same ES (don't even call it EX or Reg).... which would you buy?
It is nice to have the lights. I had the MK VI & WM. I just didn't put the lights on much in case i sold the statues. When i sold the MK VI the buyer was worried about the lights working.Lights, ftw. I have the IM and WM maquettes for, what five years now, probably turn them on less than 10 times.... but still nice to have the choice. still work great.
I guess it's situational also. Some statues, like XM BW light is just an add on, but man, IM... you gotta have lights.
Please refrain from name calling. Thread cleaned (Sorry for the collateral damage to those quoted posts).

If the company came up with a way of easily taking the lights and batteries out so the LEDs could be replaced I would go for it, but I would preferred it if there wasn't extensive wiring throughout the entire statue to get it done because wires can fail. So for example if the lights and batteries for IMs eyes were just in the head and the Faceplate came off, or if the arc reactor was just in the chest and that part came out... similarly with the hands. Sure that is a lot of batteries, but you could remove them all to avoid leakage, and repairing/replacing individual parts would be way easier than digging into the legs of the statue to try and fix wiring to the base.So if the company offers the exact same statue in two versions, one w/ lights, one w/o lights, same price, same ES (don't even call it EX or Reg).... which would you buy?
