Put a link to the sale. I think a retailer here in Europe put up some pics that might seem of the in hand piece, but they were from a convention.

Here is the ad claiming he got two statues ImageUploadedByTapatalk1457627101.988914.jpg

No probs mate. I know the german retailer that sells XM in Germany has asked payments on the MKVII some weeks ago, he was probably expecting it by mid-end February too

I do wonder what is taking so long, since these production pictures date from JanuaryImageUploadedByTapatalk1457633804.355365.jpg

It's the metallic paint app. It's incredibly hard to nail, metallic paints require the resin to be perfectly clean during the process (otherwise even small imperfections will show after the paint is applied) and you have to nail the correct degree of smoothness/shine.
The movie IM has an automotive-style of paint on the armor and it's hard to replicate, which is why most IM statues on the market (like the recent ones by Sideshow) just look dull from that point of view.
Even the older MK6 Maquette comes with a good/very close application on the red portions, while the silver and gold ones are lacking the same metallic effect, if you want the whole armor to be spot on the amount of work is very high, more difficult than most standard paint apps.

Just to make a quick comparison, check here. The red is fuller and has that shiny nearly wet effect when reflecting the light, the other portions are more reflective too, especially the gold parts (compare the visors). If the one on the right is a measure of the final paint app, it's going to be worth the wait:

Again, I surely do hope so. Beside the pose, it is mainly the paint job that made me order this. Nothing comes close even by hot toys. This will be my first XM statue, I hope they live up to their reputation

Iron Man 42 was also delayed by XM because of QC for the paint application... but when I finally got it, it was perfection....

Now I don't like the paint apps on this because of that gloss coat. The paint never looks that wet and saturated in the films.

Still, Based on this picture, you'd swear there was a light up feature in one of the prototypes.
