That couldn't be further from true. just take a look in any of their product threads on page 1. Littered with customer pics complaining of bait-n-switch, qc-ridden disasterpieces. They are the epitome of all risk, all gamble these days.

There is no risk because if you don't like the final product, you can send it back no shipping charge, and get a full refund? How is there a gamble? You get a statue you want, or you get your money back. No harm no foul...
It's always a gamble b/c you don't know what you're getting. Their products you pay up front in full for almost never look like the proto (or in the case of the entire IM line, they never do) it's always worse. Plus, their QC sucks so it's luck of the draw if you get one that isn't a qc-ridden nightmare. Sure, they offer a refund, but that doesn't mean you didn't gamble with your money initially and waste your time waiting for the 1 - 2 years it took to deliver only to be disappointed and deal with the headache of exchange/return.

According to SS Q&A, they don't pay for shipping back unless the product is defective. So if you tell them you just don't like it then technically your suppose to pay for the return shipping and the cost of them shipping it to you in the first place. So depending on where you live that could get expensive fast.

I'm assuming if you ordered the product you liked the preview enough to want it... That being my assumption, only reason you would return it would be defects. This isn't a hard concept haha. I understand it sucks to wait and be disappointed but give me a break... Free return shipping and full refund. That is no risk.

But SS doesn't consider Malibu Sonya a defect buddy. I love mine and kept it but others got burned when cancelling after seeing the updated pics that replaced the ones everyone based their inital orders on. I think that's what he meant buddy

She have arrived for a few days, but I wasn't in any mood to deal with statue disappointment, so I didn't face Malibu Sonja until last night. I liked it, slightly disappointed, but I knew it before hand. Btw, I used to live near Malibu when I was in college... I can say that her tan is from tanning salon not Malibu hehe.

Nope, unless there is something broken your stuck with it unless you want to pay for the shipping back, and they won't refund the shipping it cost to send it to you in the first place.... So yeah when SS shows updated pictures and you don't like it and people say wait and see it in hand first, the risk is if you don't like it you lose shipping costs, but if you cancel it then you lose your NRD... so either way it's going to cost you money.
The people who have been saying that SS will pay for return shipping If you don't like the statue are misinformed or plain lying...
Yup, basically you need the figure to arrive broken in some way to be guaranteed all your money back. Anything else is a roll of the dice where SSC and QC is concerned.

There's generally always enough flaws on any given piece to justify a fully paid for return.
Definitely not disappointed here. You can tell I'm not the only one either as they've closed the WL. I think her tan makes her look sexier

Honestly bro I had no issues with mine. I got one of the less "tanned" versions but the point is, whether people liked her or not, she's changed vastly from the time we placed our orders. She's a sick sculpt. Simply amazing work. No refuting that whatsoever. But bro take a look at what was advertised and what people ended up with. That's a load of crap coming from a 20 year company with a net worth of 130 million.
I get so much hate on this forum. Even Ink just flamed me for no fecking reason. I tell it how it is and some people can't handle that. I'm fair in my assessments and unbiased based on the final product i see. I don't give a **** who makes it. I just want what I paid for. Lots of other people are willing to compromise. Good for them. Nothing wrong with that. It's all based on the individual. It's their money not mine. When youve seen enough statues come and go you tend to get more selective of things you buy and expectations increase substantially. I like all these statue companies bro but if they put out a **** product I'm not afraid to be verbal about it. Not sure why anyone should have to worry about expressing their thoughts. That's what the fecking forums are for. If we weren't here chatting it up why would they even exist? I'm getting sick and tired of some of these ignorant mofos screaming only praise and bashing anyone that says otherwise. Thinking my days are limited on this forum. Plenty of other places where people can talk without worrying about the cracking of the SS fanboy whip
